Questions about my prelauch blog vs website

Hey guys,

Im going to start buildng a blog to build a list for my pre-prelaunch. With this list i plan on surveying them and get them interested in a product i will be making.

I struggling on how to lay out the website.

1. Shall i have a seperate website for the blog e.g. mytennisblog.com and then a diff website for the product mytennis.com

2. Or shall i have everything on one domain and have mytennis.com/blog and then the sales page on the indexpage mytennis.com then setup a redirect to the blog page.

3. Shall i use the main sitemytennis.com as the blog then creste a product on a seperate page when it is finished on mytennis.com/product_name

Please help!

I would do two different sites, my blog on the main site: mysite.com/blog
and then in another url my sales page.

What you mean on main site /blog? or the index page.

It is a tennis coaching product e.g. teaching the tennis serve. This leads into a forced continuity membership site.

I would do it on the same site. I would place the sales page on the homepage and have it automatically redirect to your blog until your launch. That way you can work on your blog now and get people familiar with the URL without actually having to put up a sales page yet.

Yes this sounds like a good plan as long as the search engines dont penalize me for doing this but im sure they wont.
