opt in rate from home page

Hi everyone.

Hope you're having an enjoyble

I'm just getting into split testing stuff and I'm currently getting about 25% from this front page at www.lunchboxdiet.co.uk and wondered if anybody could make any suggestions for things I could change around to try and get this up. What should I be getting would you think for cold traffic?

In addition, once I've found out my conversion rate, if you were going to then invest money, would it be in seo or PPC - i'm only currently getting around 100-150 visits per day.

Regards

Simon

thanks, i've just been looking into CPA but it's new territory for me. I'm currently on clickbank, so how would that work?

I guess i need to speak to some CPA networks in the uk.

      Regards

What you could do is a CPA where you pay affiliates who get others enter your site via the email submission. You could get lots of traffic and conversions this way and you only pay when people submit their email to get into your site! There are always affiliates looking to get money by promoting email submits. Go for it!

I think it looks great, and 25% is decent!!!

Small change, (and hardly worth mentioning)
You could lose the extra white space at the top of the page (above the like button etc)
which would allow people to see the entire video without moving down at all. (i'm on a laptop, and a good portion of visitors will be)

Like I said it's a small change, but could help.

    Hey Simon,

The social proof is pretty powerful, but the video seems a tad long. There's also no benefit for opting in or a headline to grab my attention.

The text below the video, I feel, simply repeats what's already been established in the video. If you must keep it (I wouldn't), consider adding a call to action plus another opt-in box (or a link that returns the reader to the top of the page) so that it doesn't seem like a dead-end at the bottom of the page.

Give the readers a reason to opt-in. Add a headline that sticks out from the "as seen on" graphics.

Ideally, the video would be much shorter. I think you could get the same point across in less than half the time.
