Hey Warriors,

after spending a few months reading here and focussing my efforts on IM info itself, i decided to follow some advice I read here, and find me a niche to build a website on.
I use the google keyword tool and went into the debt iche to search for keywords..
since i'm kinda new to this particular type of IM , i'm sure i make mistakes , but this is what i came up with

Debtiva dot info ..

i suppose the info is a killer to my domain, but i thought i'd give it a try , since the dot com is for sale.

the monthly searches average is around 8K and the competition is mediocer.

now i'm thinking , would i use wordpress for this site or simply a minisite , since i'm gonna focus on adsense for now.

anyways, i'm looking for some suggestions by experienced warriors , and i hope someone is willing to push me a bit in the right direction on this one

a sincere thx

Jurrie

Wordpress is not a bad bet. I would install a few plugins. You'll want one that creates meta-tags, you'll also want to edit the standard footer that comes with wordpress, so it includes the keywords for which you're trying to rank.

Also, if I were you, I'd snatch up that .com too. It never hurts to have both.

Who are you using for hosting? If you're using hostgator, it's very very easy to install wordpress. A couple clicks and you're done.

Look around google for some free wordpress themes, find one you like, and customize as you see fit.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Jurrie,

It's personal preference on what type of site to build, I'd recommend using wordpress to help you get your site up quickly and looking good. Wordpress is also very easy to mainain and is easier to a new person to learn rather than html, but you should try to learn html as soon as you can because it will help you out many times.

The most important aspect of your website will be it's content to focus you efforts on this.

    Regards

Creating a cms Blog will take the least effort, if you have not secured hosting yet, consider blogger.com which provides free hosing and allows your custom domain.

I am in the U.S. and don't understand the "iva" in Debtiva.

Some will only use .info for throw away auto generated sites, although theory says a .info should rank as easily as a .com.

iva stands for individual voluntary arrangement , it has something to do with unable to pay your debts and admitting to a payback over a period of time and still be able to live normally.

i got the hosting covered, reseller accounts are the best, lol

Get yourself a Reseller account at Hostgator and you will thank me later.

Second, the .info will not hurt you in anyway. I've tested enough and can tell you when marketing solely online it doesn't matter. People read your Title and Description more than anything in the search results not whether it's a .com, .net, .org, etc.

Finally, do not use the free platforms like Blogger or Wordpress.com. You need complete control and WordPress installed on your domain is the best way to go.

Have fun and enjoy the learning and earning.

Great job on creating your blog and getting your domain name. But what are you doing to drive traffic to your site? You Gotta have visitors to your "store," and show them your stuff! Advertise by any means necessary!!!

Check out sites that show you how to do this..Magnetic Sponsoring, Bum Marketing, and others. Do a search-engine query on advertising and see what pops up.

Create curiosity in your ads. Think of the problem your prospects are having and offer a solution.

Read, study, then do what you read -- immediately. The sooner you implement, the sooner you'll have results from your efforts. Good luck!!

What exactly is Debt IVA? Is that a U.K. thing? Anyway. My suggestion is to not waste your time on .info domains. If you can afford it, ALWAYS go for a .com .net or .org.

But as always these kinds of things depend on your budget and goals.

In my opinion you are smart to focus on the debt niche. It's a hot niche. But really need to find a better domain name. Also, you could get it in good position in the serps and then try to sell it to a good debt company. I don't do ad sense because I hated it. I went a different direction.

    Good luck

i based my domainchoice on the keywords i found , debtiva had 8k+ monthly searches and the competition was mediocer, so i thought i have a go with this, the info wasn't my first choice but the com was not available anymore.

i have another debtdomain : alifewithoutdebt dot com... maybe this one is a bit better, although i think it is a long domainname

thx for all the replies and suggestions so far
