How To Get Your Articles Written and Emailed to You for Free! Bonus Tip for Free MP3s As Well!

First, I want to thank John Rhodes for this GREAT post - I'm an idiot! I can't write! (Are you too dumb to talk?)

Ok, finished reading it? Good!

Now, here's how to get your articles written and emailed to you for free. It takes a few steps, but if you hate to type or just hate the task of writing, this will help you a lot.

Ready?

First, have all of your content ready. Have your topics on hand and have a basic outline of what you want in the article(s).

Next, go to Dial2Do - Home and register for a free account. Dial2Do is a free speech-to-text service that allows you to simply call a telephone number, tell it what you'd like to do (Twitter, add a blog post to Blogger or Wordpress, send an email, or even listen to your emails and Tweets), and then they transcribe it for you and complete whatever taks you selected.

Once inside your free Dial2Do account, setup your account so that you can call your account number and complete tasks. Dial2Do will send you an email telling you what telephone number you need to call so that you do the tasks that you'd like.

Now, Dial2Do will record approximately 30-40 seconds of audio and post it where you'd like.

This is what you'll need to do:

Call Dial2Do
Say "Email"
When it says "Email who?", you say "Me" or your name, however you have it set up within Dial2Do.

Now, remember, you've already got your content that you want in your article ready. Now you simply speak it, clearly and accurately, to Dial2Do!

You may need to complete this with a few phone calls, but it's really simple to do!

Now, after you make the calls, Dial2Do will transcribe what you said into an email and send it to you. All that you have to do is copy and paste the transcribed text all together in a Word file or a simple text file, edit it, and you have an article completed and all you had to do was phone it in!

This is also great for people that are good article writers or have no problems writing articles because, if you're on the go, you can send yourself article ideas by phoning it in and emailing yourself! This free tool has tons of applications! You really need to go create the account and have a look around.

I use this free tool to listen to and post to my Twitter account, post to my Blogger blog, listen to and reply to my emails, send myself reminders, and even send cell phones text messages to friends on the go! Much safer than trying to type a text and drive at the same time!

Now for the bonus tip to get free mp3s as well!

Go create a blog at Blogger or Wordpress.

Set up Dial2Do to be able to post to your blog of choice.

Now, call Dial2Do and tell it "Blogger" or "Wordpress", wherever you have your blog setup. Instead of sending yourself an email like we did earlier, make as many posts to your blog as you need to complete the article(s). Once their posted, simply copy and paste like we did earlier with the emails into their own text file and just delete the posts from your blog account, but not before you get your free MP3 files! Once the speech is transcribed and posted to your blog, it will look like this: Hunter's Haven: Hello fellow Warriors. This...

See that post? At the end of the post is a link to the downloadable MP3 file of my audio that was transcribed and posted to my blog! I can simply download that MP3 and use it as an additional traffic source by using it as a podcast, or splice the MP3s together into one large MP3 file (with Audacity, which is free)to give away or sell as a product! Do you see the possibilities?

Well, there you go. A quick and easy way to get articles written and MP3s created for you for free! You have to do a little editing, but most of the work is done for you in a matter of minutes.

Well, it's transcribed with a mixture of technology and humans. From their FAQ - Dial2Do - Faq

"Does Dial2do transcribe my messages?

Yes we do. Nifty huh. Now there are a few things you need to know about this.

* Firstly, you should speak clearly when you call, that makes the transcription much more accurate. You DO NOT need to s.p.e.a.k s.l.oooo.w.l.y, just clearly.
* Secondly, we use a combination of technology and human quality control to transcribe your message and check it for quality. Under certain circumstances, transcribers just listen to your audio and check it for accuracy.

Transcribers will not see your name, they will just hear your audio and be able to edit the transcription for quality."

That's interesting. I think Dana was asking or wishful thinking the other day about being able to call in and have Tweets made for her (or was it someone else?)

Anyway - how is this better than using DragonNaturallySpeaking?

I can talk that, plug it in, and it automatically transcribes for me and then I post.

Also, are there limits? I've seen you do it with Tweets but didn't know if there are word count limitations.

Hey, Tiffany! It's not necessarily better than Dragon Naturally Speaking, but this is free and easy to use. You don't have to pay for any software or anything. If you just have a free dial2do account and an email address, you can start using this and all that you're out is your time.

As far as limits are concerned, the only limits that I've seen is that it only records 30 seconds of audio at a time, but it will transcribe anything you say within those 30 seconds. There on word count limitations as far as I know, so talk clear and fast!

I love using this for Twitter. I can call it and it will tell me my last 10 tweets and I can reply to tweets as it reads then to me! Very cool!

I even used it to make this reply post to you! I just emailed the responses to myself, copy, pasted, and edited them, and pressed "Submit Reply"!
