    The one and only article company that I use now is Ezine, as it's the highest ranked with Alexa and all of the articles are proofed by real people and Google loves this website. I use various link directories for backlinking and most require you to place a reciprocal link on your site like - All Direct Links.

    Hey guys, I've tryed out a little bit of article marketing myself and used ezine articles and a few other sites, don't get me wrong ezine articles is a great place to submit your articles but I recently came across a rather powerfull article marketing site called submit your article for you, what they do is what it says on the tin, you actually provide them with a couple of your logins for some article sites, and they will suggest a fair few. Then you submit an article to these guys and they 'tricle' your article out slowly through loads of different free article submission sites, very effective in my experience.

    Hope this helped, cheers.

    • Try to spread it out to multiple article directories.

      I primarily use ezinearticles.com but every once in a while there will be another directory which scores better for the keywords of the article in question.

      Ezinearticles is the best overall, but not necessarily the best for your particular article.

    The best sites, and the ones that matter far, far more than any others, are your own sites.

    Otherwise you're not building a business that you really own and control yourself. All other sites are secondary to your own.

    After that, you have to think, broadly speaking, of three other types of sites you can use for article marketing:-

    (i) Other people's context-relevant sites (people needing content, people letting you post as a "guest blogger", and so on). These can be very valuable for getting both targeted traffic and high-quality relevant backlinks;

    (ii) "Web 2.0 sites" such as Squidoo, HubPages and so on;

    (iii) Article directories (in terms of both traffic and backlinks, these are the lowest of the low to an article marketer). Regardless of the page-rank of the directories's home-page, your articles go on a non-context-relevant PR-0 page from which the backlink to your own sites is of really poor value. I agree with the comment above that EZA is the best of these, by far (and it's the one I always use myself, after publishing my articles on my own sites first, before submitting them there, obviously, for all the reasons explained here).

    The important things are:-

    (a) Distinguish between article directories and other kinds of sites ... and ...

    (b) ALWAYS read the guidelines and/or terms of service of other people's sites before posting anything there at all, whether it's an article, a "comment", a link, or whatever. Simply doing this will probably avoid at least 90% of the problems and misunderstandings which seem to affect so many people.

      We should put a book together of Alexa's posts.

    Hub pages and ezine are the best, in my opinion. I wouldn't waste your time with the other sites.

      I use articlebase for bum marketing, find that it ranks just as good as ezine, and the links out are no follow, so its great for the purpose of bum article marketing, because any links that i point to the article, wont lose the all important link juice.

    I have articles distributed over all of the major directories under about a dozen different pen names. The only directory I really avoid submitting to is EZineArticles.com. You really need to examine what each of the directories offers you and make your selection based on your own needs.

    I find that I'm getting outstanding results from ArticlesBase, GoArticles, ArticleSnatch, IdeaMarketers, Amazines, and a few others.

    The best sites for article marketing are ezine and article base, and for seo, directories would be yahoo directory, don't know if dmoz is alive anymore.

    To get the maximum advantage, don't post on Hubpages or Squidoo (too much work!).

    ...Write a blog and after it gets indexed, just resubmit SOME of them into the best few article directories such as Ezinearticles, Goarticles, FourPxArticles, Amazines, ArticleSnatch and ArticlesBase.
