Free Keyword Wordtracker of any use?

I don't get it
Google keyword tool is showing 60,500 searches per month and Wordtracker(https://freekeywords.wordtracker.com) is completely at rest: "There are no results for your search, please try another keyword."

This is happening for almost every keyword. The keywords which are appearing in wordtracker are having like 8 searches or 27 searches and same keywords are having more than 100k searches according to Google keyword tool. What to do ?

Yeah but there is a huge difference between both tools. I have seen many internet marketers using both of them. How?

Each of these tools gets their data from different places. And each tool puts the numerical results through an algorithm to determine what number to display to the user as a result.

There are a lot of ways to get keywords that will work for you. If you limit yourself to the Google external tool or even the adwords account tool, you will be missing a lot of keyword opportunities.

As far as there being no results, just pick another related keyword and see if that returns any results for you.

Cool. I didn't mean to come off as snarky, if I did I apologize.

I like keyword research, it is something I have been interested in for a long time. I find it very interesting how the different tools combine and recombine and evaluate the results and the phrases themselves.

Wordtracker was the big dog for a long time. I still use their results in my writing and they work great. Like just a couple of minutes ago I put one of my popular keyword phrase into the free tool and got back 8 results.

Not a lot but they were longtail phrases that I could easily work into my content. Sometimes I find that I really have to work at it to find longer tail keywords in the adwords tool.

Those words work for me too, they just need a bit different approach for me.

I have also come up with some keywords for which wordtracker is showing results. Looks like its going to take a while before I figure out how to use wordtracker in a better way.

Before tight congruency was such a big deal, like with everybody going after exact match domain names, a lot of people built sites and made a lot of money using the keyword phrases from wordtracker.

In my experience, the one from WT in general are more like what people actually type into the search boxes, they are often more user friendly.

The keywords from google can be pretty easy to use, I find that I have to do a littel bit of manuvering them around to get them into a user friendly format.

Its not a problem, just a different approach that I have found to be successful.
