Have tons of content, should I drip feed or add all at once?

Hey guys,

I have a ton of content I want to add to my site as a "Resource Library", wondering if you think I should add it all or just do a couple articles a day?

We have about 75 articles.

Thanks

Tom

I believe that you should overwhelm your customers with value. To that end, I am mostly against drip-feeding unless you set it up as say a six week course or whatever. As a customer, however, I would want it all right away.

You could try this plan, it has worked well for me.

Put some of the articles on there to achieve critical mass and publish the others on a periodic basis.

After you publish the first group of articles on your site, check the amount of pages indexed in google. When you start to see the first batch showing up in the google results, start your periodic posting.

This will give your site some presence in the serps and show that you are updating it a well.

Unless it's must-have knowledge that people need to understand your site or product, I wouldn't add it all right away. If it were me, I would add a fair amount in the beginning (enough to make it an actual "library" like you're calling it, not just a couple of articles). Then, every week or so, I would add an article or 2.

That way, visitors and spiders will see that you're frequently updating your site (which is something that the search engines LOVE) - and they'll both be more inclined to keep coming back on a regular basis.

And, of course, when those 75 articles are all uploaded, it's time to start on more. You can never have too much updated information

Adding one article per day has always worked out best. I have tried different intervals and this one just gives a much better google boost than doing like once a wee, every two days of everything at once for a short period and then not much anymore.

Are you talking about simply adding this bulk of content to your open site or adding it to a membership site as a product? My advice would differ depending on which you mean.
