I've recently been using Fiverr to sell logos and wondered if it is possible to contact the people that have bought my logos privately?

When I tried to send a message to one of my clients who wanted more work from me, I had a warning sign come up saying that I could get my account closed. Is there any way around this?

Also how long does it take for the payments to clear? On my account it says 14 days but i'm sure that someone on this forum said that they had payments within 3 days.

Any help would be much appreciated.

One client I had on fiverr sent me a message with their email address in this form username - gmail - com, asking me to contact them via email for a longterm working relationship. The fact that they didn't give me their email address in the regular email format implies that contacting a customer/service provider via fiverr was against the rules and regulations.

But I cancelled all my fiverr gigs except for one.

You can request the fiverr user to provide an email address. Or ask them to send an email to your address with their detailed set of requirements.

That way you can stay in touch with Fiverr clients.

I've read a few mwssages over the net and don't think this is allowed, I may be wrong though. Perhaps when I attach my logos as a rar file I could include my details within it, or do they check them?

Also to the PM I had regarding my Fiverr Gig for a logo, I can't PM back back due to not having enough posts. If you could PM me with your email address I can contact you that way.

      Cheers

Job networks like Fiverr frown, at the very least, on having people work outside of their network as this would mean loss of income for them. In the case of Fiverr, where I think there's no means of monitoring whether gigs are really being worked on within their network (i.e., contracted and paid for within Fiverr), it's possible that they would really not allow you to communicate outside of their network.

It is against the Fiverr terms of service to even exchange contact information at all. They will ban your account - I hear they are getting stricter about it by the day. I suggest you keep your business within Fiverr - from their perspective, they helped you find your client, so they should get a cut of the business interactions.

Yeah, they are entitled to their cut. I know it sometimes makes things difficult. Some things just have to be...

Yes, it's not so bad. At least I get to advertise my work for free.

How long does it take to get paid?

Can anyone share any methods to get more views for gigs?

My gigs have been up for about 5 days and I've had 2 orders for creating logo's. Both gave good feedback but wondered how I can increase my views?

One way which has worked for me and as you're not offering a service that competes with me I'll tell you. Open up a free traffic swarm account and put the URL of your fiverr gig in their box when you edit your details. Click other people's ads to build up your credits with traffic swarm. Now the people that come from traffic swarm are a not your targeted audience - thank goodness!!, but it will make your gig seem more popular to fiverr due to the amount of different IP addresses coming through traffic swarm and this in turn will make your gig seem more with the folk who run fiverr and push you up the their table. This has certainly worked for me and I've only been with them for three weeks.

It is 14 days for the pay to clear.

On your other issue ZIP your project files and include an e-business card with it as part of a Thank You message for their order...

      Thanks for that.

Is it safe to do that with a zip file, good idea though. Are the Zip files inspected?

I have never had a gig on fiverr that I received the $4 on and that was it. I do something small and easy in order to get more money. How do I stay in contact with them?

I get their email or skype, or whatever, to communicate. Maybe it is against the rules, but for $5, you better believe I'm going to get something out of it.

Think I'll use an e-Card as suggested. Thanks everyone for the help.

I would just attach a pdf with your information when you deliver your work, and it takes 14 days to clear your paymentt through

You are most likely mistaken about the timeframe, there is definitely a 14-day hold on receiving payments from Fiverr.

Another idea to consider is a simple mention in your "e-card" or "thank you note" about signing up for your email announcements of when you post new Gigs. Send them to a squeeze page on your own site.

Last suggestion for now....Never offer samples through a Fiverr "upload". Always offer samples through examples on your website. This moves them into seeing your samples on a location which allows exchange of information outside of Fiverr...

Yes, but if you mention that you are going to sell outside of fiverr they are going to ban you.

You are being monitored at all times when making conversation out there, so make sure that you give them a legit reason to take it somewhere else such as logo delivery, etc.
