Is my Mouse broken? - or do i have a virus?

My house keeps freezing every 4-5 minutes, with the cursor being frozen.

When I pull it out the usb socket 1, and then reinsert it into usb socket 2, it works find again.

so i Alternate every 4-5 minutes between Usb socket 1 and usb socket 2.

Does this sound like the mouse is not working properly/wear and tear?

or sounds like I have a virus/trojan on my computer?

no i think you have it wrong,

for instance, the maker of my windows 7 laptop is Compaq. and i have to know what product type my laptop is. the specific model is WA980UAetc.

so i have to go the offical compaq website. and look for my model type laptop/ and at the website if you look for it a while, their will be a section for you to update your drivers. eg.touchpad,etc.

so if you are using a desktop, find out what brand it is and go to the brands official website and go searching in the website for a while to find the page where they update the drivers. you just download something and there, it is updated and if you have a laptop, do the same thing.

and if that doesnt work still, then probably buy another mouse

and if your using a usb mouse, then go the makers official website and search the website if their is a page to update the driver. and if it dont work still, then return it
