Conflict of Interest?

Ok, so some of the marketing systems out there seem great. Lots of learning material, lots of training, auto-responders, tools, etc. I'm in one and feel like I'm getting a lot of benefit.

But I can't escape the idea that their message is self-serving. "No, no, don't promote your primary, promote yourself. Oh, and by the way, sell our system and our affiliates while you do that."

It's kind of like when you go to the optometrist and they tell you your eyes are bad and, by the way, happen to have a pair of $500 glasses they'll sell you on the spot.

Am I nuts?

They're selling dreams. A lot of the ones talking about how they make x amount per day/month/year and sell you a product to find out their method, you're their customer and their road to meeting that x amount of income.

Ok, I'll buy that (no pun intended). But I suppose the main question is, even if you do line their pockets, is it a net benefit to you?

        Typically speaking, no.

If you're willing to put in the time to educate yourself, you'll find plentiful information for free on this forum and similar forums.

LOL!!!! How many autoresponders, training, tools, etc. does a
          person need?

They tell you to sell yourself, then ask you to be sure and purchase something
from them....and it's the same old $#it over and over. Ever notice how
the same people come up with new products that are just rehashed or
re-labeled nonsense of all the other stuff?

The optometrist is a bad example. They really only sell you a new pair
of glasses every 2-3 years or so. They don't come out with a new
pair of frames and bombard you with phone calls to come in and buy the
          latest frames every month.

Take the real advice: Sell yourself and concentrate on SEO. I am amazed
at the free information available here.
