Need help with proxy service

Hello, everyone! I am a brand-new member of the forum, but a long-time Internet marketer and enthusiast.

I bought a new piece of software called Auto Click Profits, and it seems to need a proxy server to work effectively. The problem is, I have never used a proxy server, and have had a difficult time finding information to help me understand how to use it with this software. The directions did not provide any insight.

There are fields on the software interface to enter an IP address and a port number. I have tried entering IP addresses and port numbers I have found on free proxy sites. I have tried subscribing to three different paid services which required me to download software. In each of those cases, I tried entering an IP address and port number supplied by the software, and none of them worked. I then tried running the Auto Click Profits software without the proxy box checked, thinking that maybe the downloaded proxy service was affecting all Internet transactions from my machine, and that maybe I didn't need to click the box on the Auto Click Profits software to make it work. That didn't work either.

To make a long story short, can someone point out where I can find a service that will work with this software, and how I incorporate the proxy service into Auto Click Profits? I'll sure appreciate your help.
