I wrote up about 10 articles on topics that I do at work and they make me enough to pay for my hosting bills. This was my first foray into affiliate marketing, and would consider that a success. I put these articles up a couple years ago and have done nothing to the site to get this money.

Sad part is that I could probably make a lot more if I did some backlinking and more writing for it.

Of course, if your articles are about how you spend the day farting around doing as little work as possible while still getting a paycheck... might not be a good market for it.

If you are going to be writing articles, you should do keyword research to figure out the most asked questions in whatever niche you are writing in and base your articles around those "hot" questions.

It's always better to find the demand first rather than write an article and hope that someone out there wants to read it.

Also, digg can be a good resource for ideas. Enter in a phrase or topic that you are writing about and search for "most dug" and that should bring up some popular themes.

if you can write good articles 150 + words and submit them to article directories, you can earn a good income by selling your service.

We need a bit more info. I think, how many words, whats the subject etc. There is a whole lot you can do with an article if its something you think people may want to read.

You need to elaborate a little more on what you've done, because it's not very clear at all from what you've written in your short post above. What exactly have you written so far at work?
