Just Got Interviewed By Another Aussie

Just got finished being interviewed by another Aussie, NewbiesDiary.

What is it with Australians that they're so friendly?

Anyway, we had a very enjoyable chat and I do hope she makes her 10K in
7 days, especially since she's battling a terrible cold right now.

See, that's a real trooper for you. Sick as a dog and she still went through
with the interview.

And guess what? She sounded better than I did.

Like Vegas Vince has said, I sound like Judy Garland with strep throat.

Anyway, so this thread isn't a total disaster, interviews are a great way
to get exposure, both as the interviewer and the interviewee.

As the interviewee, you get your name out to people who maybe don't
know who you are. I seriously doubt that everybody on Stef's list is also
on mine. So maybe a few folks now know who I am.

As the interviewer, by interviewing some established names, you're going
to get people on your list more interested in your product, especially if
it is somebody who has knowledge that they'd like to hear.

It's a win win for both parties.

I don't do too many of these because my voice doesn't last long with my
terrible allergies and I really don't have a lot of time besides. But in this
case, Stef promised me 15 minutes (it actually ran 20) and I knew I could
handle that. It's the hour long ones that kill me.

Anyway, if you can give or conduct interviews, trust me, it's great PR. I'd
do more of them if I could physically handle it.

I can't bring myself to do interviews.

It's funny, I can get up and teach in front of 100's of people and feel just fine, but when the record button goes on...I just can't make my brain work.

Record fright???

Needless to say, I've not done too many interviews.

But I do agree that Aussies are really nice people!!!

Steven - totally unrelated to the topic of your post. I've been studying and doing hypnosis for 15 years. I had one of the best teachers on the planet. It can be REALLY effective for allergies. You could check out local experts if you are interested. No harm can come ... just thought I'd throw it out for you. I hate hearing how much people suffer from allergies.

Thanks Steven - I was just lurking in WF trying to feel a little better and get some inspiration back - the colds getting to me - but Andrew Cavanagh (the great Aussie that he is) just told me a secret to fight my cold - I must say I feel heaps better now - thanks Andrew.

I thoroughly enjoyed my chat with you Steven, and I think I'm getting a little better with my confidence level - I tend to get star struck. How do you reckon I went with Willie Crawford being my first ever interview????

I TANKED!! I asked the question - he answered me & less than 5 minutes later the call was over - I sucked the big one - but I did it just the same! AND the 5 minutes worth of info Willie shared with me is mind blowingly brilliant so I guess the length of the interview doesn't matter too much!

and by the way I think the worstest creature we have here would have to me the Midgee! It's smaller than a pin head & stings like nothing else when it bites you and the welts they leave are MASSIVE - even the good ole 'ava good weegend Aerogard doesn't keep them away - ARGGHH!

They're biting me as I do my interviews & it's unbearable - oh the burdens we carry! ahahahahaha

Interviews are very powerful and they are great content to give out to your list. Got to be prepared for them though! You are only as good as your preparation.

I did a seminar a couple of weeks ago and I just winged it. It wasn't very good and thought that I could just rely on my powerpoint.

My computer crashed 5 minutes before the seminar! Suffice to say, It was not my best seminar presentation!

The theory is that humans were in Australia much longer than other countries so the animals evolved to defend themselves.

Godzilla ran screaming like a little girl from Oz...couldn't cut it here with the sharks, scorpions, taipans, western brown snakes, deadly spiders, wild pigs, stingers, sting rays, stonefish, etc etc.

Only if you live in Queensland !!!! We don't have them down south here...thank goodness!
