Overwhelmed (and discouraged)

I see people here asking how they can earn $1000 a day. Hell, I would be fine with earning just $30. But somehow I just can't find the right method. I jump from idea to idea. All seem so easy and great...

They say - you should find one thing you are good at and stick with it.... The problem is - I'm not sure if I'm good at anything

First of all I'm not a native english speaker. I could buy 500 word texts for $5, but it means I would have to pay $50 for one 10-page miniwebsite. Multiply it by 10 (since G is such a fickle little beast and can ban you anytime it's better not to put all your eggs in one basket)

But let's say I will not rely on big G and I would get traffic by other means - blog comments, forum signatures, Twitter etc. What the heck should I promote?

I'm interested in seo, hosting, tech related stuff. But people like me (targeted audience) don't usually click on ads (most already have adblocks) and rarely buy anything via clickbanks or other affiliate networks.
On the other hand I'm not really into handbags or weight loss and whatnot LOL

Ugh... I just don't know which way to go :/
I have to pick SOMETHING (I've been toying with IM since November and I didn't really make anything yet - too many ideas/ways make me quite overwhelmed )

Do you have a foolproof method to make at least $30 a day? (without building 100s of miniwebsites)

I would suggest heading over to fiverr.com and posting a service there. If you use your imagination you could pull that amount very easily, especially with the right advertising

But that actually require me to have something to offer (that's my problem - I don't have much offer to a potential client...)

Try building a site in your own language there is usually less competion. If you want to build your sites in English then just do the best you can, because to make money with a site you want clickers not readers.

Secondly, pick a method, any method and stick to it for 3 months. Know what you are going to do each day and stick to it, dont read emails, check stats, or go on forums, leave that until the weekend. I would say that at least 2/3 of your day should be spent getting links.

LINKS GET YOU PAID, LINKS GET YOU PAID....repeat,repeat

Then you should buckle down and start learning some skills. There's free education all over the Internet. Make yourself more valuable. It will not only give you something to offer in the way of services, you will learn a lot of skills that you should have if you want to start a business online.

I spent a lot of time with niche marketing, health, pets, golf, etc. because I got the impression that Internet Marketing had too much competition but I wasn't getting anywhere.

Now I'm trying Internet Marketing (just started) and I have a squeeze page with some freebees and I'm going to try fivver.com to get a few articles written (lousy writer).

I've been struggling for about a year and not making any money, just spending a lot, so I know how you feel. I think I'm on the right track now and I'm starting to see progress.

Just don't give up. You will get there.

One thing I see you may be able to offer just based on what you have written:

You do write quite well. I had fun reading your post. You do a great job in writing how you feel.

You are not a native English speaker. How about translating articles to\from your native language to English?

Second thing, you must have something to offer! Make a list of what skills you do have. Start with that. Even the smallest skill may be marketable. Heck, people make money off of fiverr writing "I love you" in the sand!

Get creative, have fun, do what you love!

I hate to say it, but if you don't have the skill. take the time and learn it.

Now don't learn things you don't like I'm 10000% sure you'll have a hard time as someone has suggested above you do write ok, why not develop that first? Focus on getting some freelance earnings setup and get that going.

I'm sure that would work out just to get you going. I started that way.

Here's a thought - if you like reading and learning about SEO, you could start by offering the most basic of SEO services, i.e. backlinking. There's a huge demand for this service in the IM niche, so why don't you use this as a starting point?

            Actually... you can

Your gig could be "I will create X posts in seo forums linking back to the link of your choice for $5"

Site owners are constantly needing forum backlinks - not just for seo, but also to get seen by potential buyers and if you are posting in seo forums then any websites to do with traffic, seo, IM, etc would be interested.

Heck... if you decide to do that I will be happy to be your first customer - just PM me

As someone mentioned above try some niche marketing. You said you have been in I'M since November but honestly that's not long at all. I made nothing my first 6 months and now I'm in the 6 figures. This business takes lots of work, determination and dedication. You have to keep at it. Get very familiar with keyword research - do some on a small niche so you get your start. Once you start making some money with a small niche site you can move up and take the next step. Just take baby steps there is no rush and it will take time to succeed - hang in there it's worth it.

Sir, could it not be be possible to earn $30 daily only with one site by doing SEO? I think yes. Select keywords that pay big money and construct backlinks. Many high PR backlinks! Comment on every high PR page you can find for beginners. Then $30 a day come easy. You watch!

Technically yes but if I build website about the things I like (www related) my CTR would be abysmal (most visitors would have adblocks), and niche that pay well are either very competitive or extremely boring (well, both actually )

I was looking trough fiverr.com offers. Do you think anyone would be interested in having their link submitted to xx social bookmarking websites for $5

If you are worried about the competition for niches you should avoid Fiverr.

Do yourself a favor and ask yourself how you can make your website stand out in the crowd. What makes it different. What can you bring to the table that the others don't.

Sir, I think it not so incredibly hard to write about things that will make money, so I try to write about that. Very easy. Maybe you try!

Write long, long, long articles for site . This is very much good for SEO and then Google, Bing, etc. find site for chosen and related keywords. Write them on regular basis, and then get high PR backlinks from everywhere. I try hard to find sites in my niche, but don't look down on high PR backlinks from unrelated sites. That's just me.

Maybe people pay $5 for social bookmark sites. Why not? I pay $5 for coffee sometimes and caffeine buzz kicks in and I write and build many backlinks. Then Google adsense pay mucho dinero!

That sounds like the sort of offer you see regularly on fiverr. There's only one way to find out - post an offer and see if you get customers.

As someone else said, even though you aren't a native English speaker, you write well and honestly don't think anyone would notice that you actually use English as a second language.

If you enjoy reading about seo then offering seo services seems like the way to go.

Maybe also you could write articles about seo. That sounds like something that would make a good WSO if you offered them as PLR.

Sir, Fiver sounds like big old rip off. Why suggest person to sell high quality service for $5? I'd much rather starve than work for someone for that pittance. I spend time building empire instead!

Unless you know the socio economic background of the OP you may want to refrain from assuming the money is a pittance for him , notwithstanding the fact of the possibilities of using fiveer as a loss leader to build more profitable relationship with your customers.

As for saying what you would or would not do if starving is an insult to the 800 millions people in this world currently suffering from starvation. Not just in Africa mind you, look at the stats for US children

You can do something about it here

Sir, you are entitled to your opinion. I did not say it was a pittance for poster, did I, sir? I don't know much about Fiver, but I do know that I would not work for $5 in my neck of the woods. As for people who live in third world nations and anywhere else, I cannot speak for that.

    couple of things...

tech people DO click and they DO buy, it is foolish to think that they dont. you can't judge others by yourself.

secondly i'm sure you have more interests - explore them and see what you can promote.

thirdly - your english actually seems great. i dont think you need to outsource writing at all.

go for it. start by promoting amazon products or something. what i do is - i have a reseller hosting account which means i can host multiple domains with unlimited space. i pay £350/yr for the privelege but its absolutely worth it. stick up a few sites promoting your fav products. i started this in january and have made around £20 ($30?) so far. not much, but its growing week on week.

lastly there is no foolproof method, so dont waste your time looking for one. great things are achieved with hard work.

    1. By joining Warrior Forum and becoming a member you are on the right track.

    2. Next, sign up for HubPages and Squidoo. I am currently writing a Hub on how to use it to research and test niches, WITHOUT spending money. You then begin earning a steady income. Use this income for your niche websites.

    3. With your niche websites, which should include Amazon affiliate stores, then you start pulling in more income.

    4. Along the way, you can earn occasional or steady income from sites like Fivrr, Mechanical Turk (an Amazon service), writing content, or providing technical support via Crossloop.

All of this takes time and energy, but by little or in big bursts, you will make money. It is tried and true.

You're frustrations are the same shared by MILLIONS of people out there trying to earn some extra money online ...Be careful and watch out for the "get rich quick" schemes / scams .. All those do is make the guy selling that dream rich and you poor!

I'm still learning too ..I think we all are to some degree but, I've also been fortunate to connect to some REAL marketers that are successful, and willing to take time to share their knowledge with me without trying to charge / rip me off

Sharing experience, strength, hope is a pathway to success ..Help others and it will come back 1000 fold my friend -

Never give up - Stay focused and POSITIVE! We all started somewhere and we are all going somewhere ...

    Hi,
We all feel like that some days, what IMHO you need to do is get some experience with some guidance from an expert. You can ask some of the brilliant minds on this very forum if they are in need of a VA. You get a decent paycheck and you get to learn a lot along the way. Coaching is another way to go but I get the feeling that you are not in a position to spend a lot.
Just be honest about what you actually have to offer and I think you might someone who will be able to use even your basic skills. From the post, I think your English is pretty decent.

    Hope that helps.

Look into article marketing - that's the most dependable method out there for newbies on a budget. And get free hosting and you've pretty much got zero start-up.

Your English doesn't seem that bad either.

I've got a technology background also - that's actually a great niche to be in. I've written howto guides on how to configure stuff (linux related, open source related) and just monetize some of these sites with adsense.

Everyone is going after weight loss and Coach handbags - not so much after configuring a TLS certificate in an email server.

There are even a few things in the Clickbank marketplace that fit in nicely for a tech related site.

I too struggled for a good 18 months online.

I purchased every course you could think of and then I started hosting JV Giveaways and suddenly my list was building at a super fast speed and I am making money on a daily basis.

You don't need any experience or special skills. You don't even need a website. It's totally newbie friendly. Give it a try. It worked for me and there's no reason why it won't work for you. Check out my free training below showing you how to do it.

wow, you are seriously aiming WAY too low.

how in hell do you TOY with something for a year and still not make a cent? thats rediculous.

i've only been doing IM for 18 months and we easily pull $10k a month.

There is MULTIPLE answers to how you can do this::
    here is a couple:

    1. Learn about SEO same as what everybody above has said.
    2. Just be organised. sell people services you dont know how to do, find someone on here (or fiver.. or that huge list above) who does know how to do it and cheaply - then just take all the cash in the middle.
    3. start a website for a trade (electricity/plumbing/carpenter/glass installation/tinting/etc etc) get it to the top of google.. then take bookings on your phone then send out local contractors in their area and take a 'sales commision/marketing kickback'.
    4. 6 million other options [and No, Google isnt fickle.]

idea 2 is our business model.

hire someone to do website/seo sales on commsion, take a deposit for the service, use the deposut to pay contractors off WF to do the design/hosting/install/SEO/SEM/everything with about 1/3 of the original deposit, take the final payment..
Essentially just sell websites for decent cash, pay peanuts to get it done, take all the cash in the middle. simple.

You could sell a book on focus. Just kidding!!!

Seriously though, the answer is simple.

Pick one of the methods that you tried in the past and had the most fun doing and then go back and do it some more until you get good at it.

Oh yeah, your English is fine. I have sites that make money with much worse English than you posted in your post above.
