Make Money From Teenagers, how?

Hi Guys!

I have a site with funny videos and stuff where I let people subscribe to get more funny videos and stuff... pretty much 95% + of the subscribers are aged below 18.

How should I make money on these teenagers aged 12-18?

Since they don't have much money... or credit cards, I was thinking of promoting Cost-Per-Click and Cost-Per-Lead deals.

Is there any legitimate CPC offers I can promote?

I was thinking that 4/5 of the emails I send out will be like "watch this funny video" ... and that 1/5 of emails should be: "Hey I found out about this cool thing: (CPC or Lead offer) "

Let me know what you think I should do...

Best Regards, Pete

CPA offers sounds like a great idea. I would target offers like win a free iphone or ipad ..etc

yeah you sound like got it right.
with paid membership you wont get much people.
trying to earn from ppc ads and others seem to be the best approach here.

Certainly, not the case..... I've got a credit card, and money... Ok, but I'm not usual .

But seriously... Who has access to the parents wallet . -- What "spoiled" kids want, they get... Remember that.

Now, as for CPA offers. You'll note that most of them say that you must be "13" or "18. So technically you would be marketing {if it's 18} to a market, that really can't be YOUR consumer.

So what can you sell to Teens? Simple.... What they want. You know what they want, they want stuff that will help them RIGHT NOW, if theres an offer that allows people there age, to get instant satisfaction, then thats what you want.

Just about any age-appropriate product or service targeted to teenagers will be effective. If they really want it, they will find a way to get it.

Some of my clients sell concert tickets (expensive) online targeted directly to that market. Kids do get the money for those tickets - from ... somewhere

      Thanks for input guys!

What affiliate networks are best for good campaigns where the only info needed is a email address (or email + ZIP) ?

PPC would be really great... is there anyone here who send traffic to PPC campaigns? And where can I find such campaigns?

I remember from when I was a teenager.. if there was anything I really wanted.. I could get my parents to buy it, but CPA offers are probably more profitable?

I guess a lot of kids don't care if it says "you have to be 18..." in fine print...

I'd be selling pimple cream or ways to solve the blemishes.

Create a popular site on that topic and you should be in the hunt.

In response to OP's question, most of my generation use the internet for Online Games and Social Networking. Create a facebook page and mail your list to say you have one. Then use a website like adf.ly to monitise links in the emails and facebook pages - If you like, try to do a Joint Venture with another fun and games site. Say "You found a cool site" or something like that. Keeep the emails short and informal.

I'm going to agree with Caleb here. During those years, I was using my parents' credit cards to purchase basic informational products (granted it was with their permission and I was paying them back with my hard-earned birthday and holiday profits!).

I would suggest promoting any sort of educational product, popular game, or self-help product in a niche applicable to teens (such as the aforementioned acne).

        Daniel,

That's what I like to hear.... But, a lot of Parents really don't let there kids on there credit cards to be completely honest... Actually cut that, most parents don't.

Gaming though... Thats interesting, I've noticed an overwhelming number of teens can get there parents card ## for games. That could be an interesting thing...

Gaming seems to be gaining popularity; at 8 years old, my sister got our parents to pay for a month's subscription to some online game. >_<

Maybe you could package these videos into one long 30 minute video and sell it for like 5$ or start a podcast. Just an idea

CPA would definitely be a good choice for profiting from those bellow 18 - cell submits in particular.

I don't want to get mad... As it's a viable way to make money and I'm all for that... BUT, do you think that because someone is "young" and unknowing of the tactics used in mobile marketing -- that they deserve to be targeted?

Because I've seen so many kids with $1000 bills because of some stupid online service, that a CPALead guy made $100 on... Hmm. And then there's the fact that technically those "cell submits" are for people 18+.

I just can't see that working...

The way I worded my initial post may have been a bit crass. I do not believe because someone is "young" and unknowing that they deserve to be targeted this way. The fact of the matter is, cell phones are an quickly growing means of reaching a market that up until recently hasn't been easy to get to.

I'm a community manager for a F2P MMO and we recently launched SMS payments in parts of eastern Europe to monetize our user base there, most of whom are under the age of 18. It's proven to be very effective.

The average youth doesn't have a credit card or even a paypal account for that matter and ofter have to rely on others to pay for things online; however the average youth these days does have a cell phone.

I was merely making the logical connection from my personal experience and understanding of the market, I could see cell phone submits being particularly effective.

        Hey Man,

I think THAT is freaking cool.. I love the idea of SMS payments, what I don't like is when people put there phone number in the form, to find out who there perfect dates name is, and then in some very beautiful small print, it says they will be charged $9.95 per month.

When people are SMSing you to make payments, thats cool .. I like that type of model, and I think it would really work. Yeah, most people that I know really don't have a cc, or have cash in hand.... Or use PayPal.. But they all have cellular phones.

Oh wait, just got a bb message

Last two weeks, I went back to my parents house.
My little brother also live with them.
He is a Gaia Online player.

During my stay there, my brother pay me cash so that I can purchase him a guide how to "steal" gold from Gaia.

So, in my opinion, teenagers are really sick of games.

PS : Perhaps OP can post funny video clips regarding famous games.

    Maybe something like this.

(even though I don't know what's so funny, but I believe gamers understand that. LOL)
    ~my 2 cents~

Exactly what many kids do. I suppose promoting game guides is a brilliant idea, especially for big 'online' games such as the one you mention.

with CPA offers you can become literelly filthy rich using youtube alone. If you buy a music video and upload it to youtube latest music maybe, and then have a link into the description , if the video is popular you will get millions of hits, therefore you will probably have a lot of people clicking your link thus if you have an offer of $2 per lead and you get even a minor 10,000 hits you have made $20k
