Hello warriors ,
Like most of you when I started internet marketing I was bombarded with so many different systems and methods on how to make money I thought I had hit the jackpot. As weeks and months went by all the information i got at the time did not really help. This was probably due to the fact that when I started internet marketing i was a complete noob all i kept learning was that you can go 2 ways sell products as an affiliate or create my own products.

Now with both methods you will need a website and at the time i was a noob I knew nothing. Other problems i faced was i did not know how to create a product nor did i have the money to pay someone to create it for me. I tried affiliate marketing but that did not work out at the time as people i was competing against were marketers who knew what they were doing and i did not have the required skills to compete against them.

I needed money and i needed it fast , my saving grace came in the form of a course i bought on using public domain . For those who do not know already public domain refers to any type of work that is not protected by copyright. The definition can be further expanded but for the sake of this post i will leave it at that. I read through the course and i was amazed at the possibilities of using works from the public domain for profits.

A lot of sceptics will tell you that you cannot make money from public domain, that the works are outdated, not relevant, that you have to do a lot of editing for it to be usable blah , blah blah. What they say only proves to me they either never tried to use works from the public domain before or are just not creative enough to profit even when there is a goldmine around them.

I have sold a lot of products by just taking works from the public domain , burning it on a CD without changing a thing and selling each CD for between $9.99 all the way up to $45.00.

One of the places i started selling was on ebay here is my feedback from one of my Niches

If you consider that only about 30 % of buyers leave feedback it means i have sold at least 15,000 CD's over 3 years in just one niche, i have 4 niche stores on ebay at the moment with similar results , i also sell products I create using public domain works on zazzle.

Ill give you a few examples on how you can get started selling public domain works with little or no expenses at all.

1. Zazzle.com
You can get started selling on zazzle with nothing at all all you need is an endless source of images which you can get from the public domain , free photo editing software ( i use Gimp ) , a free zazzle account and lots of creativity.
Zazzle is a platform for creating quality custom products. Zazzle’s proprietary technology enables individuals and major brands, to create and offer unique products for customers worldwide. Zazzle’s rapidly expanding product base includes t-shirts, business cards, invitations, in addition to a variety of custom gifts. Upon creation, products are instantly and accurately visualized on the site and offered in the Zazzle marketplace This means there are buyers waiting to buy the products you create.. When ordered, each product is made on-demand, typically within 24 hours. You do not need to pre-order or stock any products.

First thing you need to do is go to zazzle.com and sign up for a free account. zazzle will take you through the sign up process step by step. I suggest you visit the zazzle university to get all that you can out of the website Zazzle University.

Once signed up you need to find a product to sell. You can start by looking at their top searches.

For this example i will create a mug
Next step is to choose a mug style

Now look for a public domain image, I have chosen the image below

Once that is done you need to upload the image you want to use make sure the image is the right size and format by using zazzle's guidelines, you can edit the image using software like photoshop or gimp.

Once your image is uploaded you will get a visual display of what your product looks like.

Once you're happy with the design click post for sale.

The final steps are to decide how much you want to earn per product and to post your item.

Rinse and repeat the more products you create the more money you make, you can create , posters, greeting cards, ipad cases e.t.c you are only limited by your creativity. Once you create a product move on and create the next. Once you get the hang of it you can easily create 10 or more products on zazzle a day.

2. EBAY
A quick and easy way to make money is to compile public domain images on CD or DVD and sell on ebay. You can use a service like kunaki.com (print on demand service foe CD's and DVD's) to make your CD's look professional. You need to create a themed compilation of images as they sell the best. E.g a collection of animal photos, a collection of vintage maps of Alabama, Civil war Photos e.t.c. I make quite a decent amount doing this on ebay and here are a few examples of The CD's i have created and sold.

I went to the library of congress website and i downloaded a set of images called Photochrom prints collection. The Photochrom Print Collection has almost 6,000 images of Europe and the Middle East and 500 views of North America. Published primarily from the 1890s to 1910s. you can view them by visiting Photochrom Prints collection. I downloaded the images compiled them on a CD and i sell the CD for $9.99 and charge $5.99 for shipping.

That single CD created from free content makes me about $30 in profit a month, doesnt sound like much you say, well i have about 400 CD'sn different niches each bringing in between $30-$70 a month in profit do the maths.

Here's another example

Whatever you decide to do to make money online stick to it and you will reap the rewards start creating products set your self a target to create a set number of products on zazzle and ebay everday.
Do not set yourself unrealistic goals, you can start by creating a CD a day as you get better you will find yourself creating 3 -5 products a day.
#$500 #add #dime #extra #profit #spending #stream #week

One of my projects this year actually involves selling cd's with some public domain content (a specific craft project) and coupled with one particular supply needed to complete the project which is no longer available. I actually have to special order and then hand craft this one piece. Others are selling the CD, but none have this extra special thing I have which I think will give me a huge advantage while keeping the price higher as well.

One obstacle I recently faced is my printer which prints on the cd's is not working but what I have found is a sale at Staples for the next couple of weeks where a new version of my printer is not only on sale, but if I bring in the broken one (or any old printer) I'll get an additional $50 rebate. So I'll recommend anyone in the US near a Staples store who may be looking into printing up their own to check your store to see if you can get the same deal. It basically knocks the price down to half - and gives you money - and is good for the environment as they recycle them.

Definitely with ebay you have to factor in the fees, you will also need to have good feedback before your sales start to pick up. Using ebay to sell is an entire course in itself and there are lots of tips on ebay and several website.

You can check completed listings of products similar to the one you want to sell to see what is selling , price range and how frequently it sells. That way you can roughly work out if creating a particular product will be worth your while.

This is an awesome post. I've kept these methods secret for a few years now. I've been doing these exact same things behind the curtains to bring in some extra cash.

I haven't done it nearly enough to hit the $5k mark but I've pulled in some quick much needed money for bills and holidays doing exactly this.

I guess the "secret" is out now!!!

I strongly suggest anyone who wants to make some dough online (especially for unexpected payments) to take this info and RUN WITH IT

No need to worry this info has always been out there and will always be out there , most people are looking for a push button solution and any method that requires a little work is usually over looked.

Public domain works are a resource and not a system you can use public domain works in literally all arms of internet marketing from creating products, to breaking government reports into articles for backlinking . The examples given above are only examples of creative ways you can use public domain to make money.

People have been profiting from public domain works for years, a good example is the Bible, the Bible is in the Public Domain and the best selling book of all time Bible boom in the Credit Crunch -Times Online . As long as you can find an edition that was published before 1923 in the united states you can print it , give it out , sell it its up to you. Do you think the bible will ever stop selling? Are peole going to stop creating works from text taken out of the Bible and selling ?

With public domain works you are only limited by your imagination and work ethics.

With zazzle it can be done there are a few successful stores on zazzle using nothing but public domain works but just like any other business to really maximize your profit you will need to promote your zazzle store , you can use article marketing, Submit the same images on your products to photo sharing sites like Flickr and let people know they can find items with that image printed on it at zazzle, join design forums and discreetly advertise your products, If you sell images on CD on ebay add a link to your zazzle store letting your customers know that they can have the same images printed on a mug or t-shirt. E.t.c

Ultimately start your own blog or website where you can send the traffic , list your products and services on your blog .

The possibilities are endless you just need to pick a system stick to it and grow it till you have a decent income before you move on .

I wish it were possible to put every little step into a post. The steps above show you the basics you need to know. There are futher steps you can take to increase your sales, if you are worried about buyers then it's like being thirsty in an Australlian Pub. According to compete.com zazzle currently has about 6.5 million unique visitors a month , while ebay has about 65 million unique visitors a month. Over 90% of the people that go on these sites have their card in hand ready to buy if you can't sell on these websites then we got a problem. The first real income i made was on ebay selling PLR ebooks on CD, which is a much tougher market than selling public domain works.

I love this post! Anyway, how do you do the print on demand? Do you just send yourself a whole bunch and then mail them out as you sell them or what? I go through CreateSpace as I have two books with them.

From what I gather, you do the design and put it up on their site and when an order comes in, they ship it.

Hence, the big markup on the product itself and the large percentage Zazzle takes.

You're still making money and no shipping headaches and expenses.

With zazzle you just create the product, they will sell it on their marketplace, ship it and send you your commission all you have to do is let your creativity run wild .

My sales are constantly growing as i keep adding new products all the time. Also i make sure i divert all the traffic that buys from me on ebay to a website where they can sign up to my mailing list. That way i can advertise my other products to them via email.

With backlinking , i always backlink any product i am selling even if it is on ebay ,zazzle or tradebit.

By building a mailing list your are instantly building a list of what? = Buyers!

Getting all the photos might look difficult but there are a few free and paid plugins that will help you harvest all the photos on the page at the click of a button. one such plug in is Bulk Image Downloader.

Use the photos you are selling to create a cover you can take a good looking photo and add a blank area where you can put the title and other info at the top or bottom, also look at books you have lying around and get cover ideas from them , that's what i usually do.

For lOC i use 2 different plugins to get the photos first i open all the images i want in multiple tabs then i use a plugin galled flashgot in conjunction with download helper to download the images. Takes so bit of time when downloading a whole lot of images but worth it.

For the life of me, I have not been able to figure out how to bulk download the full images. I've used every tool you've suggested plus some other ones I've found online. If you have to open the full version of every single image, it seems like it would be faster to just copy and paste into a folder. Am I missing something?

You have to open each image in a different tab and use flashgot to download images from the tabs

    Hi niffy,

Awesome post. Thanks for the great idea

If I might add, if you are a creative person with some artistic inclination, you can definitely create your own design/graphic, see what sells and go for it!

NOPE PLR are ebooks that have been created to be sold to resellers , they are practically still under copyright buy the terms have been relaxed by the owner, Basically the owner can dictate what price you can sell it e.t.c

With public domain there are no restrictions whatsoever.

With PLR the subjects you can find ebooks on are very limited , with public domain the possibilities are endless.

You can use public domain Works to easily create PLR .

Great thread. Should help out people who take action on this.

How do you ensure you're not selling the same thing someone else is for a higher price? With all those links you posted on people selling public domain work it would seem public domain goods might start getting saturated.

Do you know how many pizza joints are in the USA tens if not hundreds of thousands do they make money ?, if you are trying to find a reason why this will not work then good luck , you are already creating a mental obstacle for yourself without even trying. The way i looked at it was if it were not profitable would all those people be listing on Zazzle.

When i started i did not do any advertising as i did not know how to . All i did was research what was selling by checking completed listings and i created products for that market. As time went buy and my income grew i started to learn web design and SEO , i built niche websites around my most profitable products and i got traffic to them by offering bonuses on the CD's i sold. I also started to look for other auction sites to sell my products on there are tonnes of sites that deal in hand made crafts where the sellers are always looking for images to use for their products.

With Zazzle i also did very little advertising at first i just kept creating products till the money started to trickle in. The only advertising i would say i do with zazzle is to sell products i create on zazzle on ebay as well, but you have to be careful as ebay fees can easily eat into your profits if you do not get it right.

Both ebay and zazzle already have a steady source of traffic whose main objective is to buy something all you have to do is research what people want and what people are buying and create products for those niches.

The key here is to do some preliminary research before attempting to sell anything. Don't just start accumulating random images and blindly hope that they'll sell. Look at what's selling well on eBay, and then model (not copy) your products on what these successful sellers are doing.

Well, i´m grateful that someone just shares the ideas freely and not monetizing everything.

Maybe 7 - 27 bucks wso is ok for most of you, but for me You need to multiply the amount with 10 or 12.

He can build a future wso material around his more scaled/tweaked out instruction, for more experienced marketers maybe, why not. But some basic also would be nice if it´s free for those who just starting out!

Well if most of you don´t agree then i do not mind.Itś your way of thinking.

For the Niffybranco, thank You. The thread You started made my creativity to flow. So i´ll make something up to get me out of the state i´m in

If i mention that it will be like shooting myself in the foot, im sure in less than a week there will be loads of exactly the same product on zazzle.

I have already given you the method you just need to get creative in no time you will know what your own best sellers are.

Clothes, posters, greeting cards, and the stuff on zazzle will always sell, they sell with or without public domain images , get creative , instead of just taking the images and slapping them on , add a funny slogan, edit the images, change the colour, make it unique, if you change a public domain image and create something unique you can claim copyright to the unique work you created , that way no one can directly copy your designs.

Just carried out the same search and saw no such thing, if you were referring to the nude pics i think ebay policy might allow them not sure but you can check their policy.

Obviously, you'll have to do some research and reconnaissance to determine what the successful sellers are doing (which you'd then want to model), but remember also that with this strategy it is a numbers game, and you cannot possibly expect to sell every item that you list.

Also, in order to make a significant amount of money with this strategy, you'll likely have to ramp up and list hundreds of items. It'll definitely require a fair amount of work, both in figuring out what to list and then listing the items, not to mention driving traffic to those listings to enhance profitability.

Lol I do not use my name when naming stores i use keywords i am not selling niffybranco on ebay i am selling War posters, Vintage maps so i make sure my username has my keyword in it e.g Vintage-Maps-Digitzed or Civil-War-Photos-Revival.

Using your name as your username or the name of your store is just a waste of space your keywords can occupy. Your store name is usually hyper-linked to your store. Since every listing is going to have your store name linked back to your store it provides you with some nice internal links.

Your username is your brand name it is the first thing people see in bold when they look at your seller info, so it would only make sense to brand your account according according to what you are selling.

If you are looking for niffybranco, check facebook and twitter

well, it was naked photos of women or something and had a naked woman in the shower. if they allow that, i wonder how many little kids bump into that? i would have no idea as a parent that would be so readily available on ebay

Well Said. I personally started by printing CD labels at home but once sales grew it only made sense to use kunaki saves me a lot of time which is better spent on marketing.

How is it not cost effective I am in the UK and use kunaki it costs exactly the same amount to ship either to the Europe or the USA Prices only start to differ when you bundle 4 or more CD's together. The only thing is it takes a bit longer to ship to the UK. This can be overcome by letting your buyers know the item is being shipped from the USA and might take 7 business days or more except they are willing to pay for express shipping.

Its posts like the OP that make WF worth reading above any other forum, the operative word there being WORTH.

I have read three methods here today not even directly researching how to make money at all, just milling around the forums!

I also don't spend money on packages, but thats only because I don't have any money. Certain ultra-popular things like the recent ACP, although presented in an exaggerated way, I wanna pay the $37 for it now because I actually know what ACP does as a piece of software and how if used the right way could make piles of cash. I guess all its about is understanding why a money making scheme works, but first we all seem to have to go a long journey of understanding why schemes don't work. The first post shines a light of freedom on us all.

When you take the title of this very thread on face value most people must think "hahaha another scam" but then the guy proceeds to show not only how it is done but how he makes a fortune himself.

It just takes a lot of hard work, but hey, no harder than the average 9 to 5 job, probably far easier. Using your imagination is hard but with practice you can even gain that, by looking at how others make money.

If I found 3 REALISTIC ways of making money online just today half heartedly reading these forums then it proves to me I have only ever held myself back, it is always possible, as long as people keep showing us these things, we know it is possible, it almost rubber stamps the whole reason why we are all here.

Congratulations for becoming as successful as you have on eBay, it is a notoriously tough market place.

One of them was this thread (selling public domain image collections on eBay)

One of them was the offline one where you go out and take a few pics of a business and give them their own Facebook business page.

The other was my favourite - selling websites to small local businesses at $199 a pop with $14.95 a month to keep it going. This can all be done at home since it only involves phone calls, although I said in that thread if I was serious about it I think I would get a suit and briefcase and go cold calling in person, or book appointments... that alone makes some business owners feel special, especially if people don't book appointments with them all that often! Yep, of everything I have seen that guys was the simplest I have seen and something I had thought about ages before I found Warrior Forum, the basic thought that most yes MOST local businesses do not even have a website.

            http://www.warriorforum.com/offline-...ml#post2961560

I won't go off topic anymore, was about to though. :p

All I have done is set up a few landing pages for my own clickbank stuff, its nothing like as good as the plans I have seen here, any of the three I have seen the last few days.

Very good idea but like so many of these style of services their prices are quite high and I'm not convinced people will pay the prices they quote for a mug. Have you had success with these (as in your example). I've wasted time on similar things in the past that fall down because of the restrictive pricing.

Zazzle's proprietary technology enables individuals and major brands, to create and offer unique products for customers worldwide. Zazzle's rapidly expanding product base includes t-shirts, business cards, invitations, in addition to a variety of custom gifts.

This is amazing. I have never heard of this.

This is fantastic! I currently make a full time living with an e-commerce business I run out of my house- the only downside is that I have to STOCK PRODUCTS. This would be a nice "hands off" income along the same lines... AND it would utilize my creative skills (which my current business does not for the most part) even if it just starts as a side income, I'm going to check it out. Thanks so much!

I'm more concerned with getting everything on CD. I went to Kunaki and am having trouble uploading a CD with all .jpg images, then went to cd-fulfillment.com and same problem. This may not be a question for the forum since I emailed cd-fulfillment, but so far the learning curve on this process, at least the image cd for ebay side of it, seems to be steep.
