Hubpage, Warriors BE Warned!

Watch out when you publish pages on Hubpages.com, this is the message I got:

Overly Promotional: This Hub excessively promotes another site. [learn more]]
This hub has been submitted for publication, and will be published once it has been reviewed by the administrator.

I've been writing EZA articles for a while and my that hubpage has nothing more than a resource box at the bottom. I suggest you be warned before you invest too much time and effort into hubpages.com, you might want to test it first.

Couple more warnings like this and I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Maybe it needs a little more content. Like a unique article or two. I know sometimes with Google you have to have real content on the site that has presell or promotional content if you know what I mean. That don't want just landing pages there.

That's the thing, it was content rich and 100%, not just a sales page for a web-site. Bah I don't think I'll use them anymore, don't want to see my pages just start disappearing all of a sudden.

I agree but for some reason hubpages seems to be REALLY strict. When i was using howie schwarts conversation domination method and we used a lot of hubpages they are ALWAYS flagging your page.

I have 13 hubpages out there and haven't been flagged once. Of course my
articles are freakin novels, but that's besides the point.

Or maybe it is the point?

I've also ran into some problems, though I had some pretty hard sells in some of my hubs. I'm trying to be more careful there now. It almost seems random when I have trouble though.

Hubs is strict about repeatedly linking to the same site, so if you have multiple links to your site on the hub, that's probably the reason.

I really don't like any website that makes it a pain to add content to them. I generally have much better result SERP wise with Squidoo so just stick to them.

Here are two IMPORTANT hubpages guidelines you want to follow:

    1. NEver add more than 2 links to the same url on the same hubpage
    2. You must only add UNIQUE articles to Hubpages.

If you follow this, you shouldn't have any problem.

I love HubPages...I have a page on there that links to one of my eBay affiliate pages. Back in October, I had just under $200 in eBay sales in one day just from that one page.

Google likes HubPages, so try to work with their ToS. I mainly use it to link to my Squidoo pages, but you can still make sales from links on HubPages.

Hubpages is a pain, they suddenly flaged my hubs even if some were on their site for months. I do suspect that your competitors may flag your hubs.

    I suggest dumping the hubpages.

    Do they make money.. yes!

    Do they send traffic.. Yes!

Are there better ways to spend your time? YES!

Video, Squidoo, Articles are all more bang-for-buck!
