Help choosing color for the background

Hello and thank you for your time. I recently designed an orange site. However the background was also orange. Which make the justabout every thing orange on the site exept the logo and text/images. I like the design all around if it wasnt so dang orange. So a simple solution is to chang ethe background from orange to another color. I have tried several new backgrounds all which look ok but do not blend fully. The 2 main ones I though looked somewhat ok was a green and a tealtype color. What color do you guys think I should try next.

  • I would make a few revisions of the site & show it to some people. Ask them which one they like the best. The text should be easy to read & not hard on the eyes. By doing this you can easily increase your conversions & thus make more money with your website. It may look great to you but it could look bad to someone else so that's why I believe it's so vital that you get multiple opinions on your website.

Orange and black go well together, although if your text is black and there isn't a middle table it would cause problems.

Purple is another one which might be worth considering.

The best contrast with orange is always the color maroon (a bit dull)
Try is once, you yourself will get to know.
