How long did it take you to earn your first $100?

Just out of interest for myself and I'm sure some fellow Warriors too, how long did it take you to earn your first $100?

What about your first $1000?

How exponential did your earnings get as you gained knowledge and efficiency?

Should be interested to hear.

    I first started out promoting clickbank products and it took me a couple months to make my first sale, then maybe another month to make $100.

    After I got exhausted writing articles for months and only making a few hundred total I got into adsense, where I only earned about $15 my first month, and my first hundred from adsense a couple months later.

    I think it took me close to a year to make my first thousand, but I stuck with it and things eventually started picking up speed when some of my sites matured and started pulling in more traffic. I'm not doing too shabby now, in fact I just posted today about my first $300 day. Make IM your obsession like I did and you'll eventually see success. Good luck!

    Hi,

    I started out with clickbank and never had any luck, And then i moved onto amazon, and i built like 3 sites for amazon and did crazy seo for like 2 weeks.... And then i was sick for like the next4 days..when i was finally feeling a little better, i went online and checked my amazon. there it was my first $35...and then over time all my sites had decent SERPS bringing in good money and like 2 months later (yea thats how long it took) i saw $120 in my amazon account!!

    Now encouraged by my amazon profits (although not much) and warriors i am giving clickbank another shot! i hope to see regular $100 payday's pretty soon.

    Cheers for the posts, giving me plenty of motivation now! I've made a few sites which have failed and kinda lost hope, now though I'm back into it non stop trying to make my new site work. Basically I enjoy it, if I make money from it then even better.

    It took me three months to earn my first $100 with Adsense. After, I decided to delve into the CPA industry and I was able to earn $100 within a week.

    It took me 2 months to do using Amazon. I then showed my method to a mate who made $200 in a month (which inspired me to work a bit harder!). My mum was also interested and after showing her, it took her 3 months

    going on like 5 years.. if it ever happens.. i'll have made like .02 cents per hour... but at least I've enjoyed the time spent, for the most part. lolololololol

    Interesting responses so far. So I guess I shall post my results as well. I was able to make my first 100 from selling clickbank products as an affiliate with in the first few weeks. This was only because google was not as strict with adwords back then either. I think my first thousand came like 20 or so days later. Within my first month I was able to get my first 300 day. This ofcourse slowed down in sept of 09 due to google changing their adwords rules. However I was able to pick right back up and start focusing on free traffic at that time and have been doing rather well ever since.

    I find it pretty intriguing that the majority of responses have centered around Clickbank.

    I suppose I took a little different approach, as I used Pay Per Click advertising to promote a relatively high-ticket program (I believe the commissions were either $300 or $400), and I was somewhat fortunate to pick up that first sale within 3 weeks. You get pretty quick results with Pay Per Click if you're doing it right, so it only took another few weeks to get past that $1,000 mark.

    For those who are limited in their budget and cannot start off with any sort of paid advertising, my advice is to really focus on the free methods intensively until you get some revenue, after which you should start thinking about reinvesting some of it into paid advertising so that you can really ramp up your business.
