Aweber - Can I Transfer List

hey guys,

I just recently purchased a subcription to Aweber, but I already have a list of past subscribers. Is it possible to transfer the list of emails over into my Aweber account. Will these emails get a 'you need to confirm you conscription message?'

    I started with aweber so I never had to transfer a list to it but I think that they will receive a confirm notice

    Yes, they all have to confirm their subscription or you won't be able to send them emails through aweber.

    If I might suggest an alternative, try Constant Contact. About the same fees as Aweber (until you get to high numbers), but you can import lists without re-confirming anyone. I've had good success with that, even though I still like Aweber too.

    It depends upon where your list of subscribers are
    currently housed.

    If your list is currently housed within another reputable
    autoresponder service and you have a full audit path
    for previously confirmed opt-in subscriptions, then you
    may not need to have them re-confirm.

    Contact AWeber with the specific details of your list and
    they'll let you know if your list will need to re-confirm or
    not.

    Choosing the right auto responder is one of the most important decisions you may take when getting into this business, Aweber does not allow you to just copy and paste a bunch of emails, they have to confirm again, and you can't upload more than 2000/day so depending on the size of your list, this process can take a while and you can easily loose more than 50%.

    I will suggest you to manage both list in separate systems.

    Your list might need to reconfirm their subscription because of the transfer. I have tried this once and I lose too many contacts from my not so big old list.
