Have You Ever Tried to Make Something Go Viral?

So, I am in the process of "making" something go viral, and I was wondering if anyone else had had success with that.

Any tips you care to share?

I did try to do it through buzzfeed.com

I failed miserably, but if you can get an initial 10,000 views on your buzzfeed page, you get to go on the first page, which gets over 200K views DAILY!!!

So yeh, I failed, hope you can try to win it out.

    Remember, 10,000 in one week.

I tried Buzzfeed also. I bought a WSO about it "Crazy CPA viral cash".

I bought 30,000 visitors and over 17,000 views were delivered to the Buzzfeed page within 7 days but i didn't get in the top 20 on Buzzfeed.

The Buzzfeed page in 20th position only just had around 15,300 views so i don't know why i didn't get into the top 20.

I contacted the WSO creator weeks ago but they haven't replied.

    Ha ha, nice stories here.

I always laugh when someone tries to "make" something go viral. The whole point of viral is that it's just completely unexpected and it takes off merely because it's something that resonates with people. This could be something cute, funny or whatever. Something that just catches the imagination of the internet public and gets a bunch of views initially that leads it get more and more views.

Yes, I am sure it can be done when trying hard, just seems bass ackwards to me, ha ha.

Ya, it is kind of an oxymoron, but it's fun too :p

I often try to get Warrior Forum threads to go viral, and I am usually successful until the party poopers show up.

    Funny works wonders.

Bill, you're lucky Jared Alberghini isn't here. Poop was one of his specialty niches!

      Have a Great Day!

PS, anyone seen/heard from Jared lately?

It can also be something quite simple. I've done that with Twitter quite often. Anything that people are also passionate about will get them to retweet it over and over again to everyone they know.

One of them for example was tweets regarding the dangers of texting and driving, which is still going on after over two years. And of course, we've got the solution to the problem.

Absolutely Paul. You have nailed it.

Tap into those things that people are already passionate about... And find your angle to lure their passion your way...
