Hi everyone! I registered today. I think it was some sort of higher power that allowed me to stumble upon this forum by complete chance. This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. You guys rock! I have been obsessed with making money ever since I entered college (when I was 18). I am now 21 and I have absolutely nothing to show for it. I am sorry for such a lengthy post.. but it is up to you if you want to read it or not! A brief history (which you might laugh at because it really is pathetic) of my attempts to make money outside of the traditional avenues such as working a 9-5 job is as follows:

I worked in a cell phone store all throughout high school for about three years. I was paid $70 a day cash. When I graduated high school and moved to college (and away from the parents) I immediately lost that income.

This change in circumstance compelled me in an almost obsessive way to figure out some sort of get rich quick scheme (haha) at whatever cost. Being a freshmen in college my grades suffered as I focused more on poker and researching ways to profit on the internet. Three years ago I came across all the content that this site has to offer, not on this site specifically, but on other sites. I mostly learned a ton about affiliate marketing but for some reason I never followed through with it. What I did actually go through with and paid dearly for was something called autosurf. I forgot what site I signed up with but basically they promised you an INSANE percentage on your money. Being the naive freshmen that I was at the moment I invested all the money I had (which was around $900) and drooled over the prospects of making something crazy like $5000 in 45 days. After about a week of my money being invested in this autosurf the entire site shut down and then it was just nothing. No trace of my money remained in any way shape or form. I was shocked. This is truly when my faith in making money online was broken and I never ever considered trying to make money online again until about a couple of days ago.

I spent the next three years trying to excel in many different types of things. I tried to get really good in online poker... tried to specialize in playing only heads-up tournament style. What this led to was me learning everything there is to know about the game and every type of strategy available however making money I was not. I have lost around $4000 in online poker since when I first started to play and it was only until a couple of months ago that I realized how freaking impossible it really is to win in online poker on a consistent basis. The key is to play like a robot however with my short temper and non-existent patience back then that was obviously not an option.

I tried playing the stock market. I did good for someone who basically followed exclusively what Jim Cramer had to say. Now I know that Jim Cramer gives REALLY bad advice. At one point during my sophmore year in college I invested about $6000 into ONE STOCK. This is as stupid of a strategy as you can possibly imagine. My reason for putting all my confidence into this one stock? The Yahoo forum for that company. Now I know that people say whatever they want over there with absolutely no real basis for their opinions. Anyway that stock was "supposed to" go up about 75% when something something got passed. HOWEVER it actually ended up going down 75% and I lost almost all of my money. Also I was buying on margin so I ended up losing more than $6000 and had to actually pay money back to Ameritrade after this happened. What a mess that was.

I must admit to this forum because I want to remain honest about everything, that I also did some shady stuff on eBay. I thought I stumbled upon a goldmine in the eBay world. I noticed on eBay that they have "spellcasters" who offer spells, magic rings, etc. This is all in the metaphysical category if your interested in looking. So I thought about it and realized what does that really mean? What separates someone claiming to be a genuine spellcaster and me? Absolutely nothing! So I created an identity on eBay. I changed my username to something more magic-sounding and I started to create my auctions. I must admit I still look back on these auctions and take pride in them. They were extremely creative and when compared to the quality of auctions offered by other "spellcasters" that had been there for years... my auctions blew those out of the water. I had many different types of spells for sale. They include: Money Spell, Attraction Spell, Sex Spell, Break Up a Couple Spell, Penis Enlargment Spell, Breast Enlargement Spell, Fertility Spell, Beauty Spell, and Diet Spell. Are you laughing yet? I set up TurboLister, which is an eBay listing tool, to automatically create these auctions everyday for a month in advance. The auctions would go for 3 days each and each spell cost $20. The customer would purchase the spell and then send me an email with their problem. I had templates created for every type of spell with a "solution" and I would simply put the customers name and any other names mentioned into the template and send the email back to the customer. And THAT WAS IT! I would make $20 out of thin air. After eBay & PayPal fees I was making about $100 a week doing this. However the real problem was that there was absolutely no way to make any more money than that. I tried many different methods and it was simply impossible to expand to more customers. eBay is very limited in that sense.

This spell business was working for me however I wanted to make even more $. Then I stumbled upon another website: Alibaba.com. I found a Chinese manufacturer there and established a relationship with them through email. This is hard for me to admit but whatever... I ordered a couple of pairs of fake jeans and fake phones from them. I figured that I could sell them on eBay as refurbished or "factory rejects". I spent about $1750 and received quite a few pairs of jeans and phones. I started to list them. And they started to sell very quickly and I was making an AMAZING profit. This went on for about two weeks and then I got my FIRST negative feedback. Next day, I got my second negative feedback. I had six PayPal disputes opened up against me and I had to refund all the money I thought I had made. PayPal eventually limited my account due to suspicious activity and I spent a month fighting with them to get it back. Anyway this foray into buying from China went horribly wrong and my perfect eBay account went from 100% to 93% feedback. My spells stopped selling completely. I went a whole week without selling one. No one trusted me. Why would a spellcaster have negative feedback for jeans and phones? So I stopped listing spells. I had once again managed to lose a bunch of money.

I have tried a couple of other ways to make money... some shady some not. But for the sake of the length of this post I won't even go into it. However I do not blame the methods I used to try to make money I think it was more my fault than anything. I simply did not have enough patience and integrity to succeed in these areas.

This is where I am now. I'm still young and more than eager to try something new. I have been completely brainwashed by this site and have become so optimistic again thanks to you! The very fact that people over here are saying how much they make and so and so is such an inspiration because there is so much support available and so much content to fall back on. I am in love with WarriorForum.

I will be jumping headfirst into this when my winter break starts. It is amazing how there are so many different ways of making money through internet marketing and yet whats most amazing is how they are all interrelated to one another.

I am terribly sorry for the lengthy post just wanted to get my name out there... looking forward to being a part of your community!

Thank you,
Nick
