How do I attach my ClickBank Hoplink to an Image?

I'm promoting a product from ClickBank, and I want to have an image of the product on my site. I want the image to be "clickable", so when a person clicks on the image it takes them directly to the hop-linked sales page. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

      you forgot the "" marks

      <a href="id.prod.hop.clickbank.net"><img src="img url" border="0" alt="alt text"></a>

    • Make sure to do <img src="imgsrc.jpg" border=0> or you will get an ugly border in some browsers that you may not like!

Edit: people posting faster than me

Yep. So you're editing the html for the page and the <a href="YOUR CB LINK">IF YOU WANTED TO PUT TEXT HERE IT WOULD TURN IN TO A LINK
</a> closes the tag. Because you are an image you want the code that brings up the image between the <a href=LINK> and the </a> so as above:

<a href="YOUR LINK"><img src="your image" width="XYZpx" height="XYZpx" alt="THE WORDS YOU WANT TO APPEAR WHEN THE MOUSE IS MOVED OVER THE IMAGE"></a>

If you want the whole thing centred: <center> at the start </center> at the end. <br /> leaves a line.

OK, I have a second question now. Is there a way to make it so a person doesn't see your clickbank affiliate link. It might not be a big deal, but I don't want people think I'm trying to "make money off of them", etc. What I mean is, is there a way that the link can just send them to the sales page, but it doesn't show my clickbank affiliate username (mine is a number, not a name)?

btw, the image tips worked, everyone. Thanks.

Yes, there are two or three good ways, and some terrible ones.

The good ones include something called "Prettylink" (if you use Wordpress?), or just redirecting a cheap .info domain-name - which I prefer).

Using things like "tinyurl" and "bit.ly" is a big mistake: don't go there.

        That's a different matter.

The purpose of masking your hoplink isn't to conceal that you're an affiliate. That isn't legal, and you might have the FTC after you, and/or your host taking down your site, and/or other adverse regulatory interest. Not worth thinking about, at all: you need "affiliate disclosure" on your site. And in any case, it's going to show up on the order page (it has to, otherwise you don't get paid).

But it's still well worthwhile masking hoplinks because they look horrible and some people won't click on them. (They look nearly as bad as "tinyurl" and "bit.ly" - many people won't click on those!).

Yes - as described above ... but not for the reason asked about!

Seriously - don't use "url-shorteners". It's just asking for accidents, as so many here have found out to their cost. And it's entirely unnecessary to let your business be reliant on a third-party service like that. :p

        This post may help, too.

Thanks for this information. I needed it. But I also have a question!

If I am using blogger to send people to the affiliate page, do I have to host the image somewhere, and where would I put this link, will it be on blogger or a picture of the image on blogger so that someone can click on it?

    Thanks for your help.

And, you might want to *mask* your affiliate links too along with hyper-linking it using images.
If you use bit.ly or goo.gl, the html code should look like this:
    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://bit.ly/xxXxx" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://link.to/image.jpg" height="XXpx" width="XYpx" alt="" /></a>

I am still lost. I have a image saved in my files. I uploaded it to image shack to get a html code, and I have the code but not sure where to put my hoplink. Here is what it looks like:
I couldn't post it, but if someone could please go to imageshack and look to see the codes, maybe you could explain it to me in a simple form. The codes I see everywhere don't go with my image. I just don't get it.

I am totally new to all of this . I have been stuck on my Niche for a week and a half and need some serious help. Everthing I find talks in code that I don't understand. I just need some really simple instructions if anyone can help.
      Thanks so much
