A couple of months ago I was earning a tidy little sum of money from running blogs and collecting adsence. It was a simple little scheme and things were working quite nicely.

With some new found confidence I decided to try try a new path, trying some affiliate marketing. I shut down most of my blogs and put my effort into the new web page and trying to get number one on Google.

Two things happened when I did this.
1. I reduced the amount of money I was making from google
2. I didn't make any money from my new web page.

So why would I do this?

Simple, Greed!

I while adsence was making money, I wanted more and faster as well. I throughout what was working and that was silly.

What I should have done was continue to build my adsence income and then on the side, start my affiliate markering site and buld it up slowly.

So if you are making money from anything you are doing, keep at it. Learn what you are doing right and copy and repeat. Be the best at the area you are in now, and then you can keep it running while you test new markets.

I now have a weekend ahead where I will rebuild my blogs.

    GREAT LESSON!

We ALL get greedy or think that a new (or more complicated) method is called for.

That's really good advice. It is so easy to get side tracked from what works in the hope of finding something better, shinier and faster.

    Greed can de-rail you.

It's normal to want to taste more success, but as you suggest, dropping what is already successful for a risk isn't usually worth it.

Try to stay on track with what is working, then add as you can.

Take your frustration and turn it into motivation!

    All success,
