What happen to facebook??

Need question about facebook. It seems that the fbml app is not working anymore. Is that happen to you guys? Cause it happen to me. If its true that they are taking out the apps, what is the best solution to something similar to that?

      Well, me too, who do not use facebook. I have an account; but I never log in there for an hour in a month. And now come to the question why do you need facebook???

      I do not need it as I got all my friends connected over skype, gtalk I can both talk and chat with them everyday.

    Actually I strongly think that the whole facebook site is having some technical difficulties and I have spoken to tech support they state that they are having alot of issues because of the volume of people on the site at once and they are doing their best to fix it or so I was told.

    Am I the only one who noticed that 4 out of the first 5 answers did not address the question of the OP? Some of you are not even trying...

    I realize you guys are new... but you should try and contribute something of value... or maybe just go hang out in the off topic forum.

      I realise that you weren't specifically commenting on my post, but my reply was of the same ilk as those that you commented on. I was replying specifically to post #3. Apologies for not making that clear, but I felt that it was worthy of the response.

        I don't really have much to do with Facebook either, but I'm helping out a friend and have to learn a little bit about it.

        To try and answer the op's question, facebook is phasing out the facebook markup language FBML and going to use regular html and java, etc.

        The apps will be "resurrected" as the developers are making a mint, or so it would seem.

        I know people who can barely turn on a computer, they have a facebook page though.

        Its an interesting conversation to have... in a thread on that topic. I was just suspicious given the immediate off topic one liner and the other off topic posts that followed from those who are new here with little participation history.

    Marc, did you upgrade your fanpage to the new format? I am using the older format and my fanpage is still running fbml correctly.


    BTW, I love your last name. I have been thinking of changing my last name to Baldie as well.

        I will take credit for most of the smileys except this one. :p A little too pinkish for my manly looks.

        I do like Baldknap and it is easier for Eastern European women to pronounce. haha

          Facebook have some changes in the fan pages format. They have now introduced iframe tabs for pages.

          Many useful applications have been built for Facebook Pages like BandPage for artists to share their music with fans and Shop Now to help Pages sell merchandise on Facebook. As of today, you can build your Page Tab apps using iframes rather than FBML. This means you can now build apps that run across Facebook (including Pages and Canvas applications) using the same simple, standards-based web programming model (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS). In addition, you can easily integrate social plugins and the Graph API within your tab.

          To enable iframes in your facebook integration setting, you can go to developer app

    The Facebook developer blog explains this. It is becoming difficult to develop FB apps if they are going to change direction every couple of months.

      Mine still works and I switched to the new look. On the left side of the page I have:
      Wall
      Info
      Welcome
      Photos

      When you click "Welcome" you go to the FBML page that I had setup.
