Why do review threads in the Product Review section get snuffed out?

The thread on Google Sniper 2 in the Product Review section dug up some interesting stuff to say the least and today it's locked.

If anyone is acting out of line within the thread they should be reprimanded but to shut down the thread so people can longer chime in seems a disservice to the community here. One of the best things about the warrior forum is to be able to come here and get some honest feedback on a product.

Can people actually request to have a thread locked in the review section?

    Threads can be locked anywhere for any number of reasons.

    I cannot really speak about one on Google Sniper 2, but if you say they dug up interesting stuff yesterday you can bet that discussion got heated. If things started getting too personal or too heated it would be grounds to lock it... just to cool things off.

      Someone probably tried to bash the creator of the product and this is forbidden. We have rules in place here and everyone should obey by them. It's one thing to have an opinion about the quality of the product itself and another thing to bash the person who wrote it.
