    • Landing Page Optimization: The Definitive Guide to Testing and Tuning for Conversions
    • Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability
    • Call to Action: Secret Formula to Improve Online Results
    • Always Be Testing: The Complete Guide to Google Website Optimizer

Have not read it yet but Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco looks like an interesting book.

It has gotten some incredible reviews on Amazon:

"Raises the bar on all entrepreneurial books out there"
"The Last Book You Will Ever Buy on Wealth Creation and Business"
      "This book is a Gamechanger!!"
      "Life Changing..."
      Anyone read it yet?

His youtube channel (FastlaneMJ) has some interesting vids as well...

Another thread on it & link to MJ DeMarco interview here:

Thanks for the reminder on Millionaire Fastlane. I meant to pick that up a while ago and never got around to it.

I am planning on heading to Borders tomorrow and picking up a copy of Accidental Genius.

        I just read it actually.

        It's pretty great.

The thing I like about it is that he doesn't write to the lowest common denominator. If you've read any kind of self-help or improve yourself book before, you've probably noticed they're all written so that idiots find them completely understandable. This is good for the author, because they can sell to lots of idiots.

This dude however actually uses 'big' words and phrases and slightly longer than average sentences which will probably stop 90% of the self-help market even reading the book. I like that. I hate it when I'm reading a book supposedly written for adults, but every sentence is seven words long and anyone with a 5th grade reading level won't have to reach for a dictionary.

Not that it's a difficult book to read, it's not. It's highly readable. I just mean that idiots might have a problem reading it.

Some parts are a bit dragged out.. but on the whole it's a great read.

    Robert Colier Letterbook and
    Influence- The Psychology of Persuasion

Internet marketing is still selling stuff. Just on the internet. Hence my recommendations. And also anything direct-response related by the old gurus.

I read about 2 books a week and I rotate them between motivation type books (ones that get you dreaming BIG) and more tactical type books and reports (dealing with the different aspects of running an internet business.

From the motivation and belief side, I do recommend The Millionaire Fastlane (DeMarco- he takes awhile to get to the good stuff, but it gets there) and also the book REWORK (Jason Fried).

These books will help if anyone needs some help truly believing that they too can have a hugely successful business without having to sacrifice lifestyle/time freedom.

Once the belief is truly within you, the implementation part becomes a lot easier.

Some great suggestions here...especially the top copywriting books. I'll definitely be picking up some of those.

I recently came across a list of the the 99 best business books...it's on a blog called The Personal MBA, not mine.

The 99 Best Business Books – The Personal MBA - The Personal MBA: Master the Art of Business

I'm planning on going through a bunch of those as well.

At least we're doing our bit for Borders...actually I buy my books online, so I guess I'm not helping at all...

As a motivational piece, I'd recommend "As A Man Thinketh" by James Allen. It's a short book but it's filled with some powerful words of wisdom and enlightenment. My copy is full of bookmarks and highlights of phrase that really struck a cord with me.

lol If people would read books they wouldn't have to un-learn the stuff they learn on forums.
