PLR Content, most Profitable PLR Model/way to use it? Maximizing profits?

What is the best way to use PLR content {articles} that wil get you the maximum profits?

1) Create it, then sell it to people? {PLR Stores, Plr customers}

2) or Buy it, upload it to blogs/websites and get traffic to your landing pages/sales pages?

Out of option 1 -2 which seems a more profitable model?

I know the amount of work in both will differ.

Option 2, but it's better to re-write or spin them before posting them onto sites as everybody and their dog has already spammed the heck out of most sites with the same stuff.

If you are creating PLR, it isn't really PLR initially, it's unique content. Selling it as a PLR package of any type will only be as profitable as your marketing skills will allow you to be.

As far as buying and using it, if it meets your quality standards, then by all means; assuming that you profit from it over the cost of purchasing it.

There isn't really a most profitable way to use PLR in general, its how you use it that can make it profitable for you. Your question is like asking, "Is it better to buy a PLR ebook, then market it for sales?" or "Is it better to create my own ebook and market it as PLR to others?" The answer is the same either way.

I suppose that an argument could be made that selling it as PLR may eventually find the content outdated if it becomes prominent on the web, but if you were using it directly as unique content, then you could profit from it indefinitely.

There is just so many ways to re-purpose content, I believe that there isn't a true definitive answer here. Both can be profitable, but I would think that I could benefit more in the long run by using the content for my own business.

Here's an idea, why not do the best of both? Create the content, use it in every way that you can: guides, newsletters, site content, syndication for exposure and backlinks, then sell it as PLR afterwards to others who would like to use it.

You could add them as a bonus to a product you are already selling, to improve or
boost your sales conversions. Bonuses can have a dramatically positive effect on
    your sales.
Use them as a bonus to build your list, like a bribe or a freebie to get folks on your
    mailing list.
Use them as a bonus to get more members for your membership sites if you have
them, or use them as bonuses to keep members for a long time, making for some
    incredible on-going monthly income.
Use them as a freebie to be passed around over and over; creating a viral
marketing effect that grows your business big and fast.

    1. Buy PLR
    2. Get to know the rights REALLY well
    3. Modify the content and personalize the PLR (Most PLR have the "PLR look" to it)
    4. Buy a complementary PLR
    5. Get to know the rights of the 2nd PLR
    6. Modify the content and personalize the PLR
    7. See if you can combine the two PLRs
    8. Create the new product in every modality, so reading, listening & watching (At this point you have PDF, MP3, MP4)
    9. If the PLR was a video product, Google "free MP4 to MP3 converter" and create audio MP3 from MP4 (because your competitors won't, including the product creator)
    10. Transcribe MP3 and make Word doc
    11. Make this Word doc REALLY nice and pleasant to read PDF (might require custom word doc to to this)
    12. Price this product higher than your competitors with the same rights
    13. Create CD labels DVD labels
    14. Go to Staples or Kinko's with your digital raw file and actually CREATE the product, now you have print PDF, CD-discs, DVD-discs
    15. Add cheat sheets, templates, customer only product options (upsell) inserts, mostly in PDF
    16. Contact Vervante.com
    17. Ship your product you made at the Kinko's to Vervante staff so they'll have the master copy (with Kunaki, you upload digitally over the internet)
    18. Email the DIGITAL files of the disc labels you just shipped to Vervante so they can create labels, etc
    19. Work with Vervante staff to decide on the look of the media album
    20. Order and ship your product from Vervante and quality check your newest product
    21. If you like it, write a sales letter for the product
    22. Create a sales letter for upsell, like optional coaching etc (you can include the upsell sales letter directly on the "back cover" of the media album
    23. Set up Paypal or your shopping cart so you can start taking payments
    24. Create subscriber only pricing in addition to this regular retail price on the sales page
    25. If this is the only product you own, use this as OTO when someone opts-in to your list and show subscriber only price (make this a true OTO)
    26. If this is one of your multiple products, sell them through your email list
    27. Create more products using this method
    28. If you have service you can sell, add these products to your service and charge premium price for your service.

Yes, it's A LOT of work, but that's how I do things with PLR. We can probably add more to this list.

As David said, creating PLR is not the same as using it. They are two different business models. Though if you are creating PLR and selling it, you can certainly reserve one of the licenses for yourself and use it also.

I don't think of PLR as a product on its own, but as a tool. It's content. And you can profit from it in any way that you would profit from any other content. Here's a few ideas:

    - As you said, use it on blogs and websites as content that draws traffic. Then it's a question of what you want that traffic to do, eg click on an ad, optin to a list, or buy something.

    - Create your own product from the PLR and sell it yourself. The best way is to make it unique, which could involve bundling it with other PLR, putting it in different media (eg audio and video), adding additional content, etc. It doesn't have to involve rewriting, just adding value.

    - Use it as giveaways to encourage people to join your list. Your list is your gold, so giving them things is a great way to build your relationship with them. Nurture the relationship and they will hopefully trust you enough to buy things from you, if you're honest.

    - Use it as part of a membership site. Again, I'd make it personalized to you. But membership sites always need more content so PLR is a great source to work from.

Those are just a few brief ideas. Don't limit yourself to 2.
