Why Do IM Sales Pages With Images For Headlines?

Hey guys,

I've been realizing a recent trend.

All of the Clickbank and IM launches I've seen lately use images for the headlines.

Why are they doing this?

Is it so that they don't get flagged by the search engines for using too many off-side terms ("guarantee, get rich quick etc") or is it just a design thing?

Thanks!

This is often done so that you can use whichever font you choose and have it display the same for everyone.

If you use an HTML headline, you need to choose a font that is actually installed on the visitor's computer and this varies a lot.

    Also...

Using graphical images for headlines allows them more
options when it comes to formatting the text with
    effects.

For example, there's a been a trend towards using
headlines where the font is red and has a thick white
stroke with a glow applied too.

These type of effects are not possible with just HTML
    alone.

However, always test for your own site to see if it's
an improvement for your own traffic.

Don't just follow the trend blindly.
