Go through the same steps as you would to create a payment button.

Merchant Services tab -> Create Buttons -> Subscribe

Ok when you click on the subscribe button under the paypal buttons section... it will take you to the screen where you setup your subsciption. Just put $2 in the Trial 1 box, and set it to 3 days. Then set the normal subscription rate at $45.

That is how you setup paypal to do a trial.

Put a length in the second box and ensure RECURRING is set to NO.

    Nonetheless, you need a length.

    So like:

    $2 for 3 days

    Then

$45 (non recurring) for 1 year

This is required because paypal usually puts these variables to membership site scripts BUT regardless of what length you put in - as long as it's non recurring the person will never get billed again - it's only a technicality.

Just set the trial period for 2$ for 3 days then the monthly billing cycle for $45
