Hi Guys and gals,
I've been working on a new project and have just put the finally touches to my first site. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    It is not bad. I mean you could obviously make the theme look a lot better with Wordpress or something, but looks like a simple decent website. You have done a good job.

    It doesn't look bad... I would make the text at the top a different color other than gray... To make it stand out and easier to read. How about a burgundy color to match the site?

    Also the picture in the left sidebar could be bigger or placed somewhere else, because it says "Subscribe today..." but it is very hard to read because the letters are so small...

    You want to really entice and compel people to subscribe, you don't want that to be a tiny little message.

    Hi Cadi,

    Based on what I see it seems that your main goal is to get
    people's name and email addresses to build a list of
    subscribers which is a great idea.

    If this is your main goal I suggest you split test (google
    website optimizer). Leave that page as it is and create a to
    the point squeeze page and then compare the results.

    I don't think your actual page will beat a squeeze page but
    the only way to know it is only split-testing.

    Every time you are going to do something keep in mind the
    reason why you are doing it, this is going to help you to
    save a lot of time and effort.

    The subscription price seems quite high, and you need a very big subscribe now button to atract peoples atention
    Design is ok, not flashy enough if you ask me but thats just my opinion
    Site does not look as its seo optimized, if you want traffic from google then you should worry on that rather then on how it looks.
    I like the desing on this site better, it draws atention to the important stuff, it cuts to the chase and has more info for the people that are interested. Plus it looks like its easy to handle

    thank you all for your great advice, I really appreciate it. I agree that maybe the graphic could be 'jazzed up' a little. Maybe the writing also needs to be a bit bigger. I'm going to dabble a bit more with it.

    I would say your headline does not define your customer enough or address their issues enough to make them go any further.

    You need to really sit down and nail a USP (unique sales position) and put it in your target customers face. Join their inner conversation as John Carlton says.

    Once you have the USP down, write about 20 headlines and run some A/B tests paying close attention to the time on page statistic on google analytics.

    Also, from a purely SEO standpoint, you need to title your page something other than "welcome".
