Tracking Banner Ads? How Do You Do it?

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a banner ad that is hosted on a guy's site.

I'd like to test the banner ad, split test it, all without him having to log into his site.

Is there a program or any web-based application where I can do this? And track it all?

If not, why isn't there one?

Does the actual banner image get hosted on your server or theirs? If you are able to have the image hosted on your server then you could run one banner for a few days, track the progress, then upload a different banner with the same filename and track the results of that banner for the next few days.
