What do you do when things go bad?

Let's say a campaign is doing well, and suddenly it tanks. What do you do in these circumstances? Do you cut your losses or try to make it work?

That is a really open ended question... it all really depends on the case in question.

Do you see a light at the end of the tunnel?
    Why is the campaign tanking?
    Is the downturn temporary?
Can you do something about it?
How much will it cost to turn it around?
Is it paying back for itself?

Never think in terms of how much you invested or how much you like this campaign. Some can really hurt you financially and there is nothing that can be done to turn them around.

Look at it this way... if your friend was running the same campaign and asked you for the same advice... what would you tell him/her?

    Mainly:

    What type of campaign?
    Partners involved?

Is there a backend to upsell? (life of the client figures etc.)
Make up your own campaign. The point of this thread is to find out what warriors would do in a given situation. Heck, if you have any real life examples, that would be even better.

Way too broad of a question...

Like I said, make up your own campaign.
