$1000. How Would You Employ it?

Assuming you had a newer site, and wanted longevity.

Would you hire an article writer to write dozens of articles?

Would you dump all in outsourcing?

Buy some ridiculous plugins? (I already have a premium theme.)

Let's have it!

This is a hard question to answer because it's way too vague.

You ask about outsourcing. WHAT are you considering outsourcing to others? First you have to be clear on that and then determine if outsourcing it to someone else is the right thing to do.

Based on what you say, I assume you already have a good business with a product or service you're happy with and that you already have an existing website. Is that website up to date with a great design? If not, start with updating your site.

Second, are you collecting the names and e-mail addresses of your visitors? If not, sign up for an e-mail service like AWeber and put an opt-in form on your site so you can capture names and build a relationship with them. (And THEN sell them something.)

All the traffic in the world won't help you convert to sales if you're not set up to get the sale in the first place.

If you have all of this, then focus on getting traffic.

What's already working for you? I'd take what's working and scale it up. There are 101 ways to get traffic. Focus on the 5-10 methods of getting traffic that make the most sense for your type of business (and everyone's is different).

Now, and only now that you know exactly what you need to do, you can decide what to outsource. And you have to balance that with how much time you do or don't have to spend with what it will cost you to hire others and what your expected return is.

Article marketing is a proven method for marketing, but first you need to know all of the above before you can decide if or how much of it is right for your business. In any case, be slow to spend your money and do as much of the work yourself as you can to save your cash, especially if you don't have a consistent income from your business yet.

    Good luck!

For a new site you need great website development, top SEO and gold-mined backlinks - this should cost less than a $1k leaving enough for articles.

But before you do anything, make sure you do your keyword research first to register a good domain name which would be the first step.

Awesome, thanks. I have a fairly strong keyword-based domain and have begun to bulk-up content / make it look nice. It's coming along nicely. One of those products where I can link to Amazon and aff network offers simultaneously.

I would definitely work on SEO for a new site. Make it look nice with some plug ins if you want. Remember you don't have to spend all $1000!

Especially with a new site, you'd probably make a lot more profit if you spent the 1K on paid advertising, assuming your site converts.

I would go to casino and place a bet on roulette red, and I would have 2,000$!

But for real, I would make a wordpress blog, would make some unique changes to my website design so it really stands out (if I can't do it myself I would buy them, which will cost me ~100$).

When my site is up and running it would need content.

I would keep half of the price for content. I would hire ghostwriters to make me content, but not all at once, because if your niche is everchanging, you want to be getting always up-to-date information.

For the rest money I would join the services like 3waylinks etc, to boost my search engine rankinings. Also quality backlinks.

    Hope that helps

P.S. But seriously go for the red bet...

$1,000 bucks... Do you have a pretty good website? If so, I would suggest articles, a lot of articles. Also do some press releases and maybe some backlinks as well. You could also hire a few VA's too, $300 a month per VA, might be a good investment for you.
