Transfering files!

im so messed up.... i have 2 sites on hosting24. i want to change hosts, i choose hostgator. so i changed the DNS...
what i must do next? i tried the support, but it is too complicated for me.
so i downloaded my sites public_html folders. and log into my hostgator ftp server. and went to public_html...there's the question
is this the main place where i upload my files from my other site[site i used as register with existing domain(main domain)].

Right?

And i add an addon domain, do i upload the files to the public_html too? but only to the folder? public_html->my site's folder?

Here is what you do.

Your main domain will be under the folder public_html folder.

Now add a domain under Addon Domains, when you do that, it will ask you for a directory, name it as domain.com ( the name of your domain )

Now go to your public_html directory and you will see the name of the directory of your addon domain. The files for that domain will be under that directory.

For example, public_html/domain.com

  i got this done, but when i uploaded a plugin to where it should be, it doesnt show in my wp dashboard->plugins...

  That's the punishment for not posting the relevant info in your first post! You did NOT mention it was a wordpress site.
  
  For transferring WP sites you need files AND the database... because there is nothing in files.

  P.S. If your host's support is "too complicated" for you - perhaps you shouldn't be online...

i did all like in .pdf but when i upload a plugin it still doesnt appear where it should!
any help?

If you still can't access your website after a couple more days, I think you need to contact your hosting provider and they may help you to solve your issue.
