    Neither. They're too different options.

One is a known quantity - Your one.

One is unknown - the one you buy.

Unless what you buy is definitely growing your business in the way you intend it doesn't make sense.

I'd be a little wary as it's easy to buy websites with revenue that disappears one you get it.

I would say invest in whatever will give you more value in the long run. If you know for certain that a site you are going to buy will have a good amount of traffic and revenue then go for it. But if your site will do great with more investment then stick with your site.

    Invest in your business..

Till today I have not understood why people sell their websites, when they are making high profits on a regular basis.

Simple- a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Some people are not looking at building a long term business - they're just doing lots of short dashes to cash.

If you use site flipping to fund other projects it might be a good mix.

    Good question!

I have a profitable niche site and a few profitable clickbank products and I know personally that I have put in a bunch of time and money into them in order to make them profitable.

Even though you buy a profitable site your still going to have to put ongoing time and money into to remain profitable. In my own personal opinion I would put the money into purchasing an already established and profitable business to jump passed the long road from startup to profit.

If I could have taken all the money i put into my business from the start to now and buy it outright today without going through the startup faze I would have. Hope that makes sense, again thats my own opinion.

Good luck with whatever you decide and being that your a warrior and part of this forum you will deffinetly succeed! This forum has personally helped me scale my business.

In this particular scenario i would be interested in the following question. Are the websites you are looking at buying closely related to the themes and profile of your existing sites? If they are then taking a larger slice of the proverbial pie for yourself could potentially be a good business strategy. However you will still need to put in large amounts of effort with either option so i would say only if you can see a clear cut long term business in any site you consider purchasing.
