How to get EVERY IM product you buy to "work"

Okay so you've noticed that a lot of products you've purchased this year, last year, and that one year (ya know the one that was supposed to be "Your Year") isn't really working for ya. And guess what?

More than likely it'll continue to be this way.

Now before you get angry and go requesting refunds left and right, hear me out. A lot of times we forget that different backgrounds, aspirations, and resources play a LARGE part in how we can use a product.

Don't get me wrong. I am NOT saying the majority of products you get are not working methods, just that they may not always work for you. But guess, what that's okay, matter of fact its better than okay! Why?

You see, we sometimes use the products we get incorrectly. Instead of taking the step by step approach and following directions, do this. Take the method and tweak it to make it work for YOU. Be creative and use the method taught to fit your background, aspirations, and resources (especially resources).

If you're still with me, good, I'm almost done, I promise.

Think of it this way. To build a house you first need foundation, then and only then can it have walls, carpet, a flat screen, etc. A lot of us already have a foundation but neglect to use it, so what happens. We build a new house. So now instead of one nice big house with the flat screen, we have 5 unflnished, partial houses that can never be homes, because no one cared enough to finish the job.

So now, I challenge you to finish the job. Stop neglecting the foundation you've already built for yourself. Use those methods to not find the next big thing, but find that one tweak that will perfect your big thing in the making.

Again, I'm not saying the methods you buy don't work, because a lot of them do and will, what I'm saying is this, don't neglect what you've already learned in the mist of finding the one solution thats gonna make IM work for you, because its already working, you just have to finish it

I think one MAJOR problem with buying these products is the 'Money Back Guarantee'. Because of this, there isn't much thought process or pressure to REALLY take the time to seriously evaluate your purchase. In a way, the GUARANTEE acts as a good, convenient excuse or rationalization towards a purchase with the thought- 'I will see what's inside and if it's nothing spectacular, I can always return.'

In other words, the mentality seems to be more along the lines of 'I have read this tactic or strategy from a previous purchase or WSO, nothing new here.'

Ok good, you did know about this before but the question is 'What did you do with it?'

Quite often the answer is 'Nothing'

Oh action will always be a huge factor into why a method won't work. I perosnally just try to be honest with myself before making a purchase. Will I use this product and when will I use it. If I won't have the time to look at it within the next 24 hours, I'll pass it up. I have too many products sitting on my harddrive that have never been used or even looked at.

SO many people buy stuff and never, ever crack it open.

Believe it or not, lots of people pay and never even download.

People have to get out of the mindset of chasing shiny things or it will only keep draining their bank accounts!

      All success,

          He is very serious.

About 2% of all my WSO buyers never even download the product, based on my tracking, and they never ask for refunds either.

I've had people pay 200 to 300 bucks for classes and a lot more for coaching, who never show up. That's people.

Thats so funny you said that Rob, I had an WSO where the first 25 buyers got free coaching, which only 6 people took me up on...and 3 are currently "active"

Rob, I remember Yanik once saying that he offers a one-on-one consultation as a bonus for some of his info products and apparently few to none ever schedule a call with him. At least I can comprehend this because it is a BONUS, but to plainly forget or ignore the products for which they paid money for makes no sense.

I REALLY had no idea people are so insane.

Yes... as the Rob and others said, it's true.

Ryan (the O/P) told me about her 25 person skype bonus too.

I ran a wso several months ago through WSO pro and had like 2% of the people that never downloaded at all (you can see their clicks via click-tracking).

That is so true, you need an extra 4 hours each day to read through and delete the trashy products that we buy ... anyone got the 28 hour day WSO ... I'll buy it.

Shabit, I am VERY guilty of that too. I have purchased a ton of products as well but with time and experience, I have been successful in significantly reducing my new purchases. Knowing your business model + definite plan of action definitely helps a lot in avoiding unnecessary purchases.

Thanks so much for your comments, I was actually waiting for the train to take me to class and I was asking myself...what is it that keeps ppl buying products but never really "benefiting" and this is the conclusion I came to, of course its all my opinion, but hopefully valid.

I think a clear case of more money than sense in these cases. But the money back guarantee is what lets you find what works for you. As a wise man once said "a fool and his money are soon parted"

A couple of things stand out for me here.
    1) If buying a WSo make sure that you are at least interested in it to start with.
    2) Is the simple need to take action.

Part of number 2 might be how easy it is to take the steps in the WSo that you have bought. They might make it sound so easy in the sales letter but then when you get it you find its a bit of a nightmare.

To get round that simply ask questions before you purchase....seems simple enough!

    Great post though.....love it!

Nice, this is the way I approach it too when going through an IM product. I will always be asking, 'What is the one action step I can take from this product right now that will improve what I am already doing?' So it's not about stopping what I'm already doing but watching out for aha! moments and then implementing them and making them work in the context of what I am already doing. So it's about incremental improvements, not starting from scratch all over again.

Yes, I would have to say always be interested in what you're buying. Don't be distracted about the money that the creator made or the possibilies of the money you'll make. Be sure its something you at least like and can grow on. Make any and all investments "count!"
