Default Squeeze as Much Friggin' Cash Out of This as Possible

I found an awesome domain yesterday. I picked it up
and now I'm sitting on it, ready to take action this
coming weekend. It'll be a pet project.

This domain is a keyword which appears to be searched
for on Google between 50K-100K per month. It's in a
niche that is general appeal and red hot, and shows
future growth potential. (Very pleased about that.)

Now, I have a very simple plan mapped out to monetize
this domain. It's not meant to be a "killer" plan because
I will only have about 3-4 hours total to work on it.

There is a *perfect* product on Clickbank to monetize
this. I'm speechless as to how well it fits...

My plan is to set up a simple squeeze page packed with
valuable information. I will build a nice list and then I'll
recommend the Clickbank product to my list. This should
be like taking candy from a baby. I feel good about it
too since the product will "solve the problem" 100%.

Now, given this scenario, what else would you do? What
am I missing? Remember, I only have about 3-4 total
hours to spare...

John,
Sounds like a great plan. How do you plan to drive traffic to it?

If you turned it into a blog you could probably grab a pretty high ranking for the keyword in the search engines which could mean a LOT more traffic. It is easy to put a blog on "set it and forget it" mode.

Your domain name should help your ranking tremendously.

I just LOVE finding domain gems. They don't happen very often, but when they do they are sure nice to snatch up.

Great question about traffic. Here's the short term plan:
1. generate and submit the sitemap
2. spend a few bucks on PPC; testing
3. social bookmarking
4. hitting my lists
5. using my own traffic service

The longer term plan is pretty simple at this point:
1. article marketing
2. targeted PPC
3. blogging about it (from our main blog)

I like your idea of turning it into a blog. I could actually
do that pretty fast (3-4) hours. However, I will probably
do that later as a yadayada.com/BLOG instead. I agree
that set-and-forget is the way to go...

Hummm.. Keyword rich domains. Haven't had much luck with those. It's about the content on the page I would think. MHO

I stumbled upon a great domain name that I had my eye on for years... I was creating a product that would fit perfectly. So I hired GoDaddy and paid the $18 bucks to watch it for availability.

2 years later and what do you know... they forgot to register it. Godaddy goes to auction for me and bids on the domain. I win it for $10..

Want to know what the domain was..?

True, it is mostly about the content on the domains, however you will have more fire power if your domain name is also the keyword.

The domain name is part of the on-page optimization strategies and if you have a good one it can make a huge difference, especially in a competitive market. You have the domain with the exact phrase and your site will be viewed as the source as long as you have content to back it up as well...
