    Well first of all, your promote should be good enough; and the market should be there. Think like an affiliate for a moment. Would you want to promote some crappy product?

    How much commission do you offer on your product? If a product I promote sells at $100, I'd want at least $50 as commission because I put a lot of effort promoting the product.

    I guess these are the main factors to getting more affiliates and consequently, more sales.

    Also, highlight special features of the product to potential affiliates. You need to convince them that the product will sell.

    Faking gravity is one more example of one profiting from the deception of many. So an affiliate sale doesn't count until that afiliate reaches the min payout requirement? probably makes sense and helps prevent insanely big gravities.

    You can invest in legit affiliate promotion, like a contest offering prizes or just raising payout for a time. Use one of those cb affiliate site finders to identify affiliates of similar products you can approach.

    Some JV announce sites will also list clickbank products, a couple I have run across include:
    jvnotifypro.com
    jvproductlaunch.com
    jvupdate.com inactive?

    You can buy ad space on clickbank and some of the monitoring sites, like cb-tracker.com, cb-analytics.com

    clickbanklaunchforum.com looks like a useful idea, if they just had more visitors.
