Is it very possible that the government can put a law to End email marketing, and one to End affiliate marketing online.

or would it get soo much opposition and resistance that they would consider leaving it?
{assuming they think about banning them that is}

The government does what they want mostly lol.

    If that were to happen just about every major company in the World would be affected. Plus I really can't see that happening as it would just be plain ridiculous. Banning email marketing and affiliate marketing would hurt way more than just us "Internet Marketers".

    I doubt they would do anything to end it.

    That being said, I could see them taking a more active role in trying to regulate it more. The FCC crackdown was one such step.

    Even government departments are using email in their marketing of their services. Email is here to stay and new enhancements will be discovered as time goes on.

    Yeah, internet marketing could be banned. Time to go back to the good ol' days of paper and pen advertising.

    I could see it being proposed as a legitimate way to stop spam, not that it would mind you... I definitely think there will be changes and more rules/regulations imposed at some point in the future.

      Have you ever come home and found a whole bag of flyers hanging off of your mail box. What good would it do to ban e-mail marketing? Spam marketers would just start filling snail mail boxes full of spam flyers and interrupting your supper with telemarketing.

    Ain't gonna happen.

    But if you just want things to worry about ... I hear Google is going to charge for searches, retroactive to 1998. How many searches have you performed on Google in the last 13 years? Multiply that times 25 cents a search. You probably owe them hundreds or even thousands of dollars already. Better start counting your pennies, you could be getting a bill soon.

    You buying this lie? Probably not, but it's as good a thing to worry about as any if you're going to worry about silly stuff.

    Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

    It could happen out of total ignorance for how the market works. Recent legislation in states where they impose a internet tax for taxing online purchases that leave amazon associates without income is a example.
    One law maker suggested that fee's be capped at $600.00 per year, I don't recall what state it was maybe IL.
    There was a big discussion about it over at redstate.com
