So who is still doing well with Clickbank?

Just wondering if anyone is still plugging along at clickbank, and how well your promotional methods are going. Mine used to be great back in 2005-06, but have been crap lately. None of my methods from then work anymore. I am slowly but surely building an opt-in email list and will be distributing emails to them. Only getting about $600/month in sales and spending about $90 a month on promotional costs. I was wondering if anyone has some more suggestions to give for CB? Craigslist is pretty much out I believe?

I'd love to hear what other people are saying about this too. I didn't even start with clickbank till about a year ago and sales have been dismal to say the least.

There are many products on CB. Most are not profitable but a few of them are. I personally do not like to promote stuff in the IM niche as it is too competitive. With enough research and planning you'll soon find your very own goldmine.

Agreed. If you are quite experienced you can start working on your own list and products. This is where money is.

i don't know but I think some people still have good sales with clickbank. Me personally I don't use clickbank a lot , especially in IM niche.

Replacing income from clickbank, you can promote other's people product that's self-managed. IT's good as well.

creating your own product is also always cool, in war room lots of products are being shared and those products are very cool

The problem I have with CB is the scrub. Which is a term CC processors use to describe how tight or loose they are with approvals.

The CC processor CB uses has had their scrub levels tighten up dramatically in recent years, most likely due to rampant fraud, and I think it's a large part of the "why does CB suck lately" threads (along with the other reasons people have listed).

Luckily around 40-60% of my clients use PayPal, which is a godsend for our industry in general (when they're not freezing your account and accusing you of being a criminal haha)

I dont like the way the clickbank ads force pop up after pop up on the target system.

Not good for "customer satisfaction". IMO

      That's up to the vendor.

In the IM niche it seems like it's almost a must now as saavy IM buyers will purposely click the close button on the main sales letter just to trigger the "$10 off" discount...

In other niches I'm not a believer in exit pops and don't use them on my own products.

No need, this time ... if you wait until exactly 11.11, sometimes Norb will post, and with far more authority than I can muster.

  • Since your name is "PPC Guru", I assume you're driving traffic via PPC. I personally never managed to get the whole PPC-to-Clickbank game work for me: costs per click were always too high for such a small commission (clickbank products are mostly under $100).

No matter how hard I tweaked my keywords, campaigns and landing pages, I could never achieve sustainable ratios using Adwords for Clickbank.

define "well". CB is still paying my bills....but i wouldn't mind 3x-5x more sales/day. Ultimate goal would be $300 min/day. Not that easy tho, especially in IM niche.

Great points in this thread. Actually, the offline technique I have been using as well and that seems to be working. I go to horse shows, casino nights and what not. I will give the floor guy $100 and he will leave a stack of those flyers on the table, they are usually gone in an hour. It was promoting a "roulette system" and a "blackjack system", got 67 sales in 3 days. A few returned but thats not too bad.

I personally find CB to be similar to other product sources. If you have a strong list and a good following on your site, then your sales will be through the roof. If your list is stale and traffic to your site slow, then you will see a decrease in your sales. I agree with Raja. It might be time for your own product!
