Play The Game And Win...Almost Every Time

I thought I'd get a little philosophical today since I'm not really in the mood
to do any work.

This thread is for those of you who are already seeing a little success. Maybe
you're making $3,000 to $5,000 a month in whatever niche you're in and
you're looking to take things to another level. There is an easy way to do
it.

It's called playing the game.

Here is how the game works.

Rule 1 - Know who the players are in your niche. You have to know who you
are playing with and against. In the IM niche, this is pretty easy. These
guys are quite visible. But in other niches, not so easy. Many use pen
names and some work so under the radar you'd need a submarine to find
them. But no matter how easy or hard it is, you have to know who's
playing with you.

In non IM niches, go to competing sites in your niche and see if you can
pick out the players. Go to Whois and do some research. Sure, many will
have private registration and you'll get no clue, but some won't.

If they have an autoresponder, opt in. Find out what kind of content
their offering to their subscribers. See if yours stands up to it. If not,
better get cranking.

Rule 2 - Try to get some leverage. If your competition really isn't in '
direct competition with you (related products but not really) then maybe
you can strike up a JV. This works best when the products compliment
each other.

For example, you're in a niche that sells bird cages and your competition
sells the birds but no cages. This is a great opportunity to combine
resources and email each other's lists.

Sure, the people you are selling your bird cages to already have birds,
but that doesn't mean they can't want more birds.

Get leverage wherever you can. When communicating with the person,
do it professionally. Make sure you offer a generous commission for your
product. If the fit is there, you'd have to really be a total screw up to,
well, screw it up.

Rule 3 - Hangout and give value. Now I'm talking about public forums like
this one where all the people in the niche hang out. Give value. Share
your tips and secrets freely. Let people see that you're there to truly
help others. You'll make friends very fast. Plus, those who aren't in direct
competition with you will want to hook up and you won't have to go
through all that formal email writing. PMs work great. It's how I hooked
up with John Rhodes. We had skills that complimented each other and
the result was a successful get together. It helps that John's a great
guy too.

That's it. Those are the rules. Play by them and you'll see your income
double or even triple in months. The key is being above board and honest
with people. The more you give, the more you will get back.

I have a lineup of people waiting to promote my next product next year.

Why? Because I play by these rules.

Try it...You might be surprised at the results.

  • Good advice, lets all remember how many times we've been told information is power, and that success breeds success.

I wonder if the Congressional Medal of Honor for Honesty were given out, where would Mr. Wagenhiem be on that list? Probably up there.

I'd rather learn from someone honest ,not so flashy with the straight , unglamorious dope than someone who is perported a genius/prodigy , flashy and a superstar with millions of groupies, but you got to go thru more money, useless fat and decayed, decomposing recycled meat just to get 1/2 of what the honest guy will give you, if you are lucky.

I've seen this for myself and in others experience.
