Using the client's credit card? How else?

I need to register a client for an autoresponder service, set up a Facebook Ad and other things that require a CC to do so.

How do you manage these tasks without a client freaking out about you having access to their CC? She does not want to set these up for me. Is there another way of handling this w/o her giving me her CC #?

Thanks,
Radar

Just add them to the invoice and hand them receipts

But if I'm creating an account for them (which would normally be for at least a month or year), a CC needs to be supplied. How do I handle that upfront?

Just have it on the payment form for the services for them to enter cc information to complete purchase
another way would be to offer these services to your customer through a membership or something similar and charge them x amount monthly and have them enter cc details to the sign up form

When I was setting up sites in my local area I would just use my own credit card (with a generous cashback bonus!) and pay it off every month with their cash or whatever they paid with.

I mainly did it to score the cash back bonus, which was sweet! Just an idea...

Set up a merchant account and be able to process credit cards. Search for "credit card processing" and you can find providers that are free like CCBill, etc.

Purchase a pre-paid or gift visa card and use that.

The client doesn't have to risk using their credit card, you don't have to risk using yours and when the project is finished you can send them the card along with all of the purchases made, accounts etc... Just tack on the purchase of the card to your bill.

Forgive my mushy brain.... Who purchases the pre-paid or gift visa card? Whose name is on the visa account? (or is it just a generic gift card that any holder can use?) I don't follow you.

    Radar,
Please don't take this the wrong way but this not something that you should be wondering about.
Set up your business as just that a business, collect upfront for the work or pay it out of your own business account and bill for it. Get a payment processor, you can even have one that connects to a smart phone and collect the payment at a clients office.

Congrats on getting customers by the way, now tie up the loose ends and keep rockin

I am trying to set up my business, but I haven't gone through many 'normal' steps yet. If I set up a client's hosting account or Facebook ad or autoresponder service account, a CC # is going to be required. Do I put in mine and then change everything over to the client at the end?

What I do is open my own account or add their email list to my auto responder, I have control over the process, it's easier to contol the client that way as I can cut off service for non payment. I have been burned a few times and that is just my policy.
In your case I would explain to the client that if they want the service they need to open the account theselves or give you the card in order for you to do it, maybe you can take a laptop to thier office and set it up while they are present.

It's just a generic card. You don't have your country of residence listed but in the US you can pick them up just about anywhere.

Prepaid Cards Available Online or in Person - Visa Gift Card | Personal | Visa USA

    all the info you need

Who pays for it is up to you. Probably easiest for you to pick one up, use it for all of the CC stuff and add the amount of the card to your bill. Send it to your client when the job is complete.

You pay for them, mark up your services and invoice the client.
