Branding blog with your pic???

I created my blog with the intention of just having a blog, but now I'm dreaming bigger and using the blog as a tool to venture into the world of public speaking engagements.

Any advice on branding a blog with a picture of yourself(such as in a header image)? Results?

    I think having the image of you works. Aweber does it to name one off the top of my head. CopyBlogger uses real images to help brand their blogs. That seems to work well for them. I know there are many other factors, but I think the image of a real person helps to establish credibility.

    I don't think the talking video people are effective, but I would say some websites swear by them. Testing is the only way to find out.

      I'd have to agree. I think it helps develop a better representation of you that readers can connect with more.
