What to do with a 4 year old domain?

I have a couple of 4 year old websites, that pertains to furniture niches. There's not really much done on it, nor on any SERPS. It's drawing very close to its expiration dates.

What should I do with these domains? Is it worth re-registering?

Any good ideas?

Do the domains have any PR? If they do I would personally use them to post articles on and link to my money sites.

You say the are furniture niche? Any local furniture stores that would be interested in some serious online leads? If so use one of the domains and get some Google Places SEO going.

If they are decent domains then I would sell them if you are not planning to do anything with them

If you are interested in starting a site, re-register it and find a hosting service.
If not, like rammonster said, post it up on Sedo.com

    Good luck~

Are thet making at least their reg cost? If not, dump 'em by any means necessary. If they are...why get rid of them at all? I have about a dozen domains that are of low->no value but at least pull $10-$20 a year sitting in my WhyPark account. Even if I developed them into full-fledged sites with all the bells and whistles, they wouldn't earn much more (based on the number of searches for their niche acccording to Adwords).

If you think they have some keyword value, then park them, and watch the stats. Be sure to use a good parking place - i've never made a penny from godaddy - but domainsponsor sends me a check every month. You can also offer it for sale on your parked page. If they are GOOD furniture domains - like redcouch.com or officedesk.com - and you don't want to sell them, then develop them - lots of free scripts you can use to monetize them!

I really never suggest dropping a domain unless it is really bad. I am good at finding endusers for names that people say "will never sell".

Hey buddy, that's an interesting approach. How do you go about finding endusers if you don't mind sharing?

I think it all depends on whether you've any well-defined plans on doing something with those domains. Do they have keyword value, and are you intending to build any furniture sites with them? If you do, then keep them. If not, you could either let them drop, or renew and actively search out buyers to sell to (if you think these domains have some value to end users).
