To The Newbie Question - How Much Will I Make?

In my daily journey around the popular Internet Marketing forums it's a common question that gets asked way to often. Being a newbie, you might think you're being smart in your inquire but the question reveals your naiveté. You ask the question waiting for someone to answer, but you're ignored or insulted by the crowd. Yes, we understand that you believe if you only knew the answer you'd be able to decide if Internet Marketing is right for you. It is a requirement. You have to know. You're positive the answer will enlighten you. This is also taking in the belief that you think there is an answer. So you keep asking despite the cruel responses and snide remarks. After you've been around on the forum for a while, you come to understand you never should have asked the question to begin with. Now, you have arrived at the point where you comprehend your original innocence. You have reached the conclusion that you are just like all other Internet Marketers.

How Much Money Will I Make?

Sure, I understand the question. For those of use that was, or still are, in the working physical world students, apprentices, or employees were often told exactly how much income we can expect to earn in our chosen field. Today you can use online databases that will show you studies and statistics, which tabulate and record median incomes for hundreds of different occupations. If you're hired by an employer they are able to tell you a specific salary for your particular position. In the brick-and-mortar realm we usually are told what we'll be paid before we begin a new occupation.

This is how we decide on whether to take a particular job. We even go to college or trade schools, which are very popular now days by the way, in order to be able to earn a particular income. This is also what makes us leave jobs to where we are paid more.

So when you come in to a forum and ask us, "How Much Will I Earn?" It's kind of impossible to answer correctly. It's like asking, "How high is high"? How low is low? Is there an end to space? If I work extremely hard, get the best Backlinks possible, a top hosting provider, the best content available, become a search engine guru, basically become a marketing genius, obey all the rules and regulations, what can I expect to earn annually? Monthly? Daily? What I'm looking for is that if I get into this business, would it be worth my time? Can I really support my family and myself be selling other peoples products? When will I be able to quit my day job? At what point will I become a millionaire?

If you've made it this far reading this post, then let me reward you with the answer. The reason you've never received a proper answer is because there's not a proper answer.

Each and every marketer makes what they can make. It's just like saying, I can't do that or I can make what ever I have to make to survive. What ever you tell yourself you can do, you can do. Whether that be good or bad, going with you or against you. If you say it then it's true. One marketer might be happy with making beer money for the month while another wants private jet money. One is satisfied with getting along with basic needs while another isn't satisfied no matter how wealthy they are. I'm sure you are getting the point to this post. In the Internet Marketing industry you won't find an annual report on the performance of our industry. Nor are there any statistics concerning Internet Marketing salaries. We can't tell you how much money you'll make because we simply don't know.

What you're capable of making, is what YOU'RE able to make. Not anyone else, it's what your ability tells you your able to make. You're the one who must learn where to fit in and which part of the business best serves your talents.

Can you make a living doing Internet Marketing? Yes, is my answer to this question if someone ask me. If someone ask you this question, right now, what would be YOUR answer?
