Best Ways to Handle a Youtube Giveaway Contest
A software company recently approached me via Youtube and gave me three copies of their DVD software to give away through my channel. I tried out the review copy, was quite impressed, and decided to do the giveaway as they requested.
My question is, what do I ask from viewers in return for the giveaway? Right now, I have a video out asking for them to subscribe to my channel to be automatically entered into the contest.
But I'd like my next giveaway to do a little more for me. The reason I'm asking for subscribers is because some of my vids accrue Adsense income for me. Thus, if I can get more views on my channel, I hope to get more Adsense income.
I don't have a website for my channel, but I did just make a Facebook page (don't know much about promoting affiliate products through Facebook, but I figured if I got enough fans that I would take the time to learn). I don't have a list because I don't have time for yet another list, and I don't think it would be that successful for what my channel provides and the demographic that watches my videos.
All that being said, what would you do if you were in my position and hosting a giveaway? What should I ask from viewers/subscribers that they would be willing to do in order to qualify for the giveaway? I might be hosting the next one as soon as next month.
