should I concentrate on EZA or distribute to other directories?

Hi there

I am currently trying to raise some money with article marketing.

I consistently write 15 to 20 articles a day and place them on EZA only and I do make sales.

I have 2 links, one to the vendor page (redirect) and one to a landing page. I am not planning to build a list on these particular subjects but just want to make some money to start outsourcing for another project.

Do you think it would be worth placing these articles on other directories as well or should I concentrate on churning out a good number of brand new articles a day and place them on Eza?

I am quite partial to Eza and have used Go Articles and articlebase but I don't think they carry as much weight as Eza.

I kind of guess that the answer is in the question but would just like to get some opinion from you guys, if you don't mind.

Maybe I could post some on Hubpages, squidoo..;but I just don't find these sites very nice and easy to use!

Thanks in advance.

Yoan

I too am partial to Ezine. I also use squidoo. I can pop a lens up in about 30 minutes and they seem to rank well in Google, often on the first page with highly targeted key words, but so do some of my Ezine articles.

I write an article, post it on Ezine, spin it, post on on article base, then I use a submitter to respin and submit the article to hundreds of other directories. I just started with this spin/submitter software, so my jury is still out on this.

I like Robin's advice. I think you should focus on Ezine if that is what you like, but it would be relatively inexpensive to have the articles spun for other sites. Just make sure they're readable!

What many writers do, myself included, is to not only post to EZA and one or two top article directories, but also look for high authority sites, blogs and ezines to submit your articles. By becoming a regular contributor to such outlets, it carries much more weight for your writing than any article directory can.

thanks for the answer! Do you mean posting the same articles or brand new ones? Do you have names of major authority sites by any chance?

        Thanks

Ezine by far carries the most weight however submitting to other directories will give you more coverage. You could outsource the posting to other directories fairly cheaply at places like fivver. That way you wouldn't be distracted from your writing

Certainly submitting articles to 100's of article directories won't hurt, but IMO it is not the most effective use of your articles.

My marketing includes many dozens of some comparatively hotly competitive niches, and the authority outlets vary widely depending upon the niche.

A very essential tool for my article marketing has been the Directory of Ezines. This directory (directoryofezines.com) lists ezine publishers categorized by niche, and includes publisher contact info, number of subscribers, ad rates (I send lots of solo ads too), and whether or not they accept article submissions (most do).

These publishers are hungry for quality content; many don't even source it through article directories because of largely very thin content. If you can make these publishers' job easier by providing quality content on a regular basis, you will be far ahead of other writers who merely "post and pray" to article directories.

There is no better implied endorsement or "authority" than having these publishers send your articles to their subscribers and also post on their online archived newletters. The traffic can last for months or even years.

            This.

            Find the hungry crowd.

Although mass submission to every directory may be what you want to get a fast result, sometimes we just have to go back to the basics of business.

Where do our customers hang out? Not, how do I get lots of backlinks.

Recently my team has found that Buzzle is out-ranking EZA for more than half of the keywords in niches we're interested in. My advice would be to make sure Buzzle is on your list of article submission sites.

How well do you do with direct traffic? So if you submit an article and it's not yet ranked, would you say you see a decent amount of traffic still?

I do ok but I put out quite a lot of articles. I enrolled in a programme called keywordGenius last year and I have lists and lists of very good keywords ready to be used. I write fairly quickly and try to make my articles controversial to get as many readers as possible.

I currently write for 3 niches all health ones. Since I have a link to the merchant page and another one to a review site I tend to ignore all these parameters ie; how well they rank etc. I really believe that no matter what you just need to put as much good content as possible. As I said I am doing this to make some money and I don't intend to make something of these niches but then I can concentrate on a blog which I am building with different things, not just A marketing.
