Do you think my Technology Blog/Site is on its way to become an authority site?

Ok, so I have been putting effort into this site, a lot of effort. Not as much as I would like due to finals and homework, but next week I have off so I plan to spend a lot of time working on it. Its in my signature.
I have been getting around 10 hits a day (real people, 60-70 hits spiders and spam) I did receive a second real comment (I didn't leave it up because it was a "first time viewing the site" type comment). I just want to make sure I am on the right track for developing an authority site.
My plan is to draw traffic in by blogging, and in a year or so when I have a large following I am going to turn all of the posts into guides and pages. I will probably put a forum in once enough people follow my blog. Eventually I hope to have a couple computer sites targeting computers, computer security, and maybe even a Mac site.'
So what do you think?

It's a little early to tell, but it's a good start. Let us know how it goes :-)

Depends on how good you build your backlinks and what SEO methods you use. Visual wisely I think you should work more on your header and maybe get a logo to make it more unique. No offense, but kinda looks like the typical blog these days.

Have you given any thought to the demographics of your website's visitors? Time will tell, but one thing I noticed immediately was that the default font was pretty small, and I've got a feeling that a large number of your visitors are going to be in the baby boomer generation. In other words, most of them need reading glasses. I'd increase the font size. I know this sounds like a small thing, but it's one of the many things you can test and tweak over time.

Or, you could just write a blog post showing them how to change the font on their computer. Trust me, you'll be a hero.

Hehe, I have never thought about it that way. I guess I will have to do that, thanks for the idea for the blog post.
I am planning on writing enough posts to give my viewers a complete idea of how a computer works, tips, tricks, guides, as well as more advanced material for advanced and expert users.
I didn't really give a thought to what age groups I would be targeting though. Thanks!
