yeah..sky's really the limit and i'm asking here where I see lots of pros hang out. ^_^ they'd have more experience using such programs that they'd be able to tell more about things a particular group may need.

I have a really good idea but would rather not give it away since it is simple and effective in its usage and will make a lot of people on this forum happy

Some applications have been done to death, but always there is scope for improvement.
I remember SEONuke before it even had a name over at warrior forum. It was fine to be buggy and ugly since the response from testers got it improved.
This is why I ask a about skill level since in this niche if you can develop fast i.e. fix bugs and add updates and features it will blow

I can say that I am pretty good on web development (PHP/MySQL) and also on Adobe Flex/Air development. Yes, I agree that certain applications have been cloned and copied and improved and there are still areas that need improvements or maybe even new ideas.

yeah..but basically im not just asking for new ideas..like you are using a program already..you might have some problems with it. that sort of thing like "i wish this program x would do this or that"

I do wordpress plugins..but not joomla..I'm a wordpress fanboy so to speak.

My main purpose to why i created a thread is to make something even for free because I could use that product to market myself better. but of course, if i can have some income with the product I will make, so much the better.

I was just like thinking before like this : there're lots of users on mailchimp or aweber and maybe a large chunk of those have some problems with using mc or aweber. I could try to make an aweber clone so to speak but with improved features or features that those large chunk of users need/want. I could then start like mailchimp with free plan and also paid plans.

If we will partner up with your idea, you can either like treat me as an employee so you just pay me for making the product or treat me like a partner that will have some "kickback" / percentage on any income generated. I think that's what you're saying and i'm open to those two options..just correct me if im wrong on this assumption.

I can do some quick projects and also longer term projects as long as the working relationship is good.

It is good to use you are thinking out of the box.
However the first thing you want to assess is the concept you have in mind has it been duplicate elsewhere. In the case of the aweber/mailchimp then yes it has by many others and they fail miserably.

Mailchimp and aweber not only have the infrastructure but also the funding [$xx,xxx,xxx] to ensure that they customer has a robust experience.

This is not to say you can not tackle the challenge but as a one man band you have to seriously evaluate the situation.
